Sidni's point of view

My alarm goes off and I get in the shower. For some reason I'm rushing to get ready. My stomach is telling me something bad will happen. Where's Danni? What if she comes back? Ugh....that bitch tried to hurt me. Thank God the guys were there. As I finish up I pack my dinner for the night and head back to work. As I check in and start walking to the room I see Bryan trying to find a Doctor or Nurse. I walk up to him.

"Hey Brian. What's up?"

"He's in alot of pain. That nurse that was supposed to be here hasn't checked up on him. So yea."

"Okay, I'll be there in a second."

I walk to get Matt's medicine. I pick up the same bottle as earlier. It seemed like a different pill than the other ones I gave him. No, it has to be the same. All of a sudden my hand grazes over Danni's name tag. That can't be. She was just wearing it when she left. I bolted out of there and grabbed Matt a glass of water.

"Here Matt"

We start talking and I notice Matt becoming clammy. I yell for a nurse.

"Shit, Danni set me up for failure. SHE SWITCHED THE PILLS."

"Matt!!" I started yelling while starting CPR.

"Please come back Matt. Alright. We have to get his stomach pumped and continue CPR."

His heart started for a second. We rushed out of the room and into an operating room. My nurses hooked him up to a heart monitor and started shocking his chest. We injected him with numbing medicine and put a breathing tube down his throat.

"Once his heart starts, we can start the operation."

I go over there and shock him one more time. It started beating but he didn't wake up. I started the operation. It went smoothly. Turns out I gave him Penicillin. Why would I do that? I'm a horrible Doctor.

A little while later I bring him back to the room. Only Jimmy and Brian were sitting there. They looked up at me and I saw their blood shot eyes. They could tell that I've been crying. Jimmy comes to hug me but I push him away.

"No Jimmy, this is all my fault. I thought the pills I gave him looked different than the other ones. When I saw Danni's name card I should've known something was up. This is my first day and I've fucked it up. I should just quit."

I look at the guys. They were speechless.

"How did her name card get in there? I swore I saw it on her when we grabbed her." Brian asked

"I..I...don't know."

"Well, it's okay Sidni. She must've done it." He pauses. "Today is your first day? Shit, I wouldn't have guessed. You're a great Doctor."

Jimmy agreed.

"Thanks but I still messed up. How will I explain this to Matt when he wakes up?"

"I don't know Sid. He might understand."

"I hope......"

I was cut off by the intercom.

"Lock down. I repeat. Lock down. Lock your doors. Get into a room close to you. Crazed person is running through the halls with a knife!!"

I lock the door and close the curtains.

"Okay guys. Calm down. It'll be okay."

The guys are looking out the window.

"Uh, Sid, isn't that the nurse that was supposed to give Matt his meds?" Jimmy asked

I looked out and saw the nurse. Her eyes were so bloodshot and she was crazy. She had other side affects like a rash and started foaming from the mouth. What the hell. If someone were to overdose on the pills that were originally Matt's, that would happen. The nurse must've switched them for Danni.  The guilt must've gotten to her or Danni threatend her.

"Uh, yea that is her. What the hell is going on? Apparently the world is against me being a doctor." I nervouly laughed.

I look over at Matt. He is sleeping soundly. Im glad he is okay. Gosh, he looks like an angel when he sleeps. I've brought him back twice. Im an okay Doctor. Suddenly there was banging and screaming at the door. The guys  came to stand by me and Matt and we all huddled. Jimmy hugged me.

"Sidni, its okay. We know what's going on too. We dont blame you." He whispered in my ear.

The banging and screaming came to a hault as I heard the police takle her to the floor. Thank God its over.

A few minutes later.
"Okay guys, it is now safe. You may unlock your doors."

"Alright Sid. Me and Brian are leaving. We trust you with Matt and for ducks sake make sure you give him the right pills" Jimmy says trying to be serious about the duck comment.

"Yes sir, I will. See ya when I see ya."

I said laughing.

They walked out and I started singing "seize the day" maybe this will help him out. Gosh. He is so beautiful. Wait, this is a professional setting. He is my patient. I can't think those kind of things. He just lost his one and only. How selfish am I? I block out my thoughts and start singing again.
