It was a typical Wednesday morning. Stevie had gotten up quite early to get ready for her day. As a school teacher she had to be in her classroom by seven to prepare for her students. It wasn't too taxing seeing that it had become her life style over the last few years.

Stevie was loved by all her students and they thought she was- how every teacher should be. She was laid back, she didn't believe in giving students homework she thought that time was important for family time.

Stevie turns off her alarm clock and rubs her eyes a little as she throws her legs over the edge of the bed to get up and get ready. She picks out a dress from her closet before making her way to her bathroom. Stevie lived in a tiny one bedroom apartment. She could afford something bigger but she liked the coziness of the one room. Stevie brushed her teeth and washed her face before making her way to the kitchen.

Stevie grabbed a tea kettle and put it on the stove. Meanwhile waiting for her water to boil, she goes to feed her dog Jackie. She scooped the hard food with a cup and pours it into the bowl. Jackie comes running when she heard the bag.

"Hey, girl." Stevie squats to pet her a little while. "You're such a pretty girl, you know that?" She continues to mess with her dog until she hears her kettle sing. She hops up from the floor and grabs a cup from the cabinet. She takes out a huge black mug that said Rock and Roll on the front. Stevie was a huge fan of music and she had many favorite rock and rollers. Stevie places a tea bag in the glass and pours the water in. She takes the cup and starts to head back to her room.

She placed it on her vanity and she started to put some makeup on. Being a school teacher you'd think she wouldn't have time to get her hair or makeup done but somehow Stevie managed. She clips her bangs back while she applied her moisturizer and light foundation. She powders lightly and begins to work on her eyes. No matter the event Stevie went for the same style of eye everywhere she went; dark brown in the crease and smudges the brown shadow on her lower lash line, applied a coat of mascara, she also wore a mauvy toned lipstick and a soft pink blush to add a little color to her creamy pale skin.

Stevie then threw the dress she had picked out on; cream with a pretty floral design- a small mix of pink and turquoise and paired it with her cream suede boots. Teacher friends of her's  always found it amazing that she could wear six inch heels everyday and not fall over. To Stevie it was nothing.

Stevie put on her sunglasses and picked up her tea, purse and keys- taking a quick look around the apartment to make sure she had turned off the lights- she was now ready for work.

"Mommy will be back soon." Stevie tells Jackie as she walks out the door. She makes her way to her car and hops in her little black  Mercedes and turns on the radio listening to the Classic Rock station, then she was on her way to Menlo-Atherton High School. She had gone there herself as high school student and was happy to now be a teacher there.

When Stevie pulls up she parks in the teacher's lot. She managed to get her same parking spot every morning that was right in front of the library. Stevie gathers her things and heads out making her way to her classroom.

"Hello, Stevie." Another teacher passing by, greets her.

"Morning, Robert." Stevie smiles brightly and waves as she walks.

As Stevie got from point A to point B she was always greeting someone or someone was always greeting her.

"Hi, Ms. Nicks." A boy shouts.

"Morning, sweetie." Stevie shouts back with a smile.

"Morning, Ms. Nicks." A man comes up to her as she approaches her classroom door.
