When the next morning arrived, Lindsey was soon on his way to see Stevie. He had also brought her some clothing since her staying the night wasn't totally planned. He stopped and got her some breakfast on the way to the clinic, hoping she'd be able to keep it down. By the time he had gotten there, she was wide awake and arleady on the next IV.

"Hey? good morning, babe---" she beamed as she flipped through a magazine.

"Hey," he smiled at her. He was glad to see in a better state. He walked in and sat down on the couch near her. He put the bag of food on the bed.

"Awe, thank you," she smiled as she pulled a breakfast sandwich out.

"So what did I miss?" he asked.

"Nothing, the baby's heartbeat didn't go down so this wasn't like an emergency. But he figured it is helping to keep it regulated."

"That's good," he nodded. He was actually quite relieved to hear that.

"I get to go home today. Once this fluid is done, I can go. Strict bedrest and we can finally tell everybody," she chomped on her ham sandwich between sentences.

"So, have you dicussed anything else?" he asked. He just wanted to know everything since he had missed so much in the beginning.

"No, we were gonna wait for you, so we could go further. He didn't even mention really, anything about the IV," she sipped the orange juice that he'd also brought along with him.

"Alright, good," he sighed a bit. It was more relief than anything.

"I feel better now, that I am eating food too. The last week; it had been hard keeping anything down. That herbal ginger stuff is finally kicking in. I haven't felt any nausia. But I don't wanna speak too soon."

"That's good to hear," he smiled at her. She was makeup free and just so in her own world. Her world seemed so peaceful and he loved every aspect of her. He even loved her care freedness while she was holding the child. He knew she had been suffering and probably going through some depression out of worrying, but today---that didn't stop her beaming smile.

A little time had gone by when the doctor had finally entered. "Good morning Mister Buckingham," he held a smile while shutting the door. He had a few patients and he wanted whatever that was going on for their ears only.

"Morning, how are you?" he smiled back.

"Very well, and yourself?"

"A little anxious..." he let off a nervous chuckle.

"Well, you shouldn't be. On my end, everything is shaping greatly," he took a seat on the swivel chair. "Alright, how are you feeling, Miss Nicks?"

She kind of shrugged her shoulders. "I feel relatively normal, like nothing's wrong... which is a little scary seeing that I could've become sicker," she responded brusquely.

"Well that just means the meds are kicking in well," he chuckled deeply. "Once this thing is finished, I can let you go. As I said, I recommend nothing but rest even though you feel the energy."

She nodded.

"So how does this house aide thing work?" Lindsey asked. "And for how long does she have to be on an IV?"

Stevie put her hand on Lindsey's hand and gave him a gentle squeeze. Because she could sense the tenseness within him. When he looked at her she gave a soft smile.

"So how this works---and I'd rather you do it in the mornings. That way the cord doesn't get in her way throughout the day. So what we do; is have a nurse or aide come in the morning. She sets the IV up and it reall depends on you how long you want it to take. A fast drip or a slow drip. I've had you on a slow drip all the time you were here yesterday, but that was for several hours because, I was keeping you. Once you're done, the nurse checks your vitals, then leaves and you go about your day," he shrugged lightly.
