   Suman looked up warily at the craft. ..

"  this way ma'm. ..watch your steps. .."

  The pilot guided her. ..

Minutes later, suman was seated inside the cabin. ..already,her team including the luggage had been on board. ..

Suman buckled her into the seat. ..

     The cabin itself looked like a commercial airliner. ..the only exception was that it had a very small  windows, which made suman uneasy. ..

She had been haunted her whole life  by a mild case of  claustrophobia  (fear of closed circumstances )...

    Her aversion to the closed places had no serious issues, though it always frustrated her. ..

   She clenched her eyes in mere scare. ..

The engines roared to life, sending a deep shudder through the gull. ..Suman swallowed hard and waited. ..her pulse surged as a manifestation of her in depth fear. ..

"  are you comfortable. .? "

  She wasn't hearing the enquiry. ..instead, she started to pant heavily. ..

  All of a sudden, she heard a soft music playing quietly overhead. ..

  Slowly, she relaxed. ..she now realised she had a headphones on at her ears and suddenly opened her eyes. ..

  Shravan was looking at her worriedly, he was holding her hands reassuringly. ..

   Suman left his hands in a hurry and she stared him at in comprehensive. ..

" no. ..I...Mean. .sorry. ..you looked scared. ..you haven't replied me when I asked whether you're comfortable. ..so. .I thought. ..music may help you. .."

He said in a calm tone and turned to leave. ..

   "No. ...i mean. .thankyou. .i am mildly claustrophobic. .."

She said embarrassed. ..

" Oh. ..you'll be fine with the music then. .."

He showed his upward thumbs and settled near Ranjith. ..

    they were not even buckled themselves. ..being commandos, they had so many adventurous operations .hence, travelling in a specially designed air craft didn't made any differences. ..

   " guys, we're going to land in Antarctica, an ice covered landmass. ..the coldest, driest, windiest continent which has an active volcano  (Mt. Erebus ). .."

  Daisy outlined the details about the continent. ..

" here the general population is nil. ..that means. .. ..scientists of various countries stay here for their research periodically  ..Each country has its own research base here. ..and ours is 'Maitri '...it would take one or two days to accommodate with the weather . ..let's begin the work once  we settle down. .."

   
  " yep. .." Everyone sounded same. ..

   Ranjith pinched shravan. ..

" dude. .i was praying through my life that I shouldn't get postings in  'Siachen ' (world's highest battle field situated between india and Pakistan )... as it would be needle pricking cold. ..now, I ve  landed in the hell I guess. ..I may not get Indian food. ..freaking cold. ..no human faces. ..omg. ..how I gonna survive here. ..!"

Shravan laughed to his whisper. ..

" dude. ..it's all about the fate. ..let's go with it. ..who knows, this may be a good turn for our career. .."
