   "Sumo. ..why you made yourself vulnerable. .? I wanted you to be safe. .."

  Shravan said with mixed feelings, shaking her shoulders sharply. ..

  " even now I am at the safest place. .."

  Sumo buried her face into his chest, letting out a deep sigh. ..

Her true  words wrenched his heart. .With no time, he brought her close to him, bracing  warmly. .He nudged his cheeks over her head gently, sighing from heart. ..

" sumo. ..I heard Ranjith that you're safe. .."

  " I was caught at the last moment. .."

   Shravan cupped her face , staring into her eyes .he asked with concern  ..

" what's the need to do this. .?now, you're standing between life and death. .."

Sumo's  lips cued to   a bright smile ...

" shravan. ..I don't want you to fail in your mission. ...and. .."

She paused momentarily and gazed into his eyes firmly. ..

" either it's life or death. ..it would be with you shravan "

     Shravan mesmerised at the adoring  eyes, tugged her again in a matter of fact that she was the only valuable possession of his life. ..

      As time grew, the dimly lit- level below vault was uncomfortable to stay with. ..

  Shravan tried to make access to someone and got exhausted that the signal strength was less. ...

' what for they waiting until now. .?didn't sukla heard me .?where's Ranjith. .?what had been cooking at vikram s mind. ?he just left us free while he's talking about ending our life. ..is there anything left that's beyond normal. .?'

  Shravan was rushed with queries. ..frankly, he was awaiting for sukla s reply. ..

  
    By the time,the illumination began to reduce and shravan felt something weird. ..

He couldn't breath easily. ..He noticed the sudden change of atmospheric pressure, that is thick  and made to  perspirate  heavily . ..

   It took some time for shravan to understand that vikram had evacuated the air  from the vault . ..like an airtight container that contains thin layer of oxygen ...

  ' my goodness. ..vikram planned to kill us deprived out of oxygen. ..!!! '

Shravan turned at sumo who  was already gasping for breath. ..the closely surrounded ,dark , oxygen deprived vault made sumo to experience  her claustrophobia...

  Shravan took her to his lap, and made her to sit upright in the floor. .

" sumo. ..you're going to be alright. ..don't panic. ."

Shravan's vision blurred as they're curtained with tears. ..He rubbed her palms to ensure the comfort. ..

  He remembered her claustrophobic attack while travelling in the aircraft. ..it was their first conversation that brought a positive opinion on each other. ..

   " shravan. ..I am scared. ..I feel pressure over my chest. .I couldn't breath as though  my air bags doesn't expand. .."

  Sumo stammered in between gasps. ..

" issh. ..."

  Hissing to be calm, shravan embraced her to him at the sitting posture ..His one hand supported her head, while the other stroked her back gently. ..sumo clenched her eyes in fear of impending effects of nausea and hammering headache. ..

     " sumo. ..relax. ..I won't let anything happen to you. ..close your eyes and listen to me. ..will you. .?"

  Sumo was suffering badly with fear of closed circumstance . in addition , the oxygen availability got thinned by time to time. ..this too affected her with extreme tiredness that ended up with lethargy. ..

Unlike sumo,  shravan was trained to survive this kind of situations . he had spent his training sessions at Siachen where the oxygen levels are very low. ..hence, he managed to be calm. ..His biggest threat was Sumo's status as of now. ..

  " shravan. ..Hold me. .."

Sumo's throat parched as the air wasn't moisture enough. ..she wiggled at his chest with discomfort. ..shravan felt as though he's dying to see her suffering. ..

" vikram. ..open the door. .."

He shouted outrageous, unable to behold  her illness ...

He hysterically kicked the door to open that wasn't paid any differences. ..

     ' Shravan. ..she's your girl. .she will be with you. ..she will live with you. ..she will grow old with you. ..she will die with you. ..have faith on your love. ..'

Shravan  chanted it repeatedly to bring him calm. ..He took deep inhalation. ..

Sitting beside her, he made her to lean at his chest. ..tracing her head softly, he tried to make her relax. ..

" sumo. ..do you remember ...how do we met at first time. ? "

  Clasping her fingers with him, sumo smiled " khadoos. ...!!"

    Shravan made their conversations lengthy by  carefully recalling the  happiest moments. ..

    It seemed that shravan had diverted her mind, and she began to go with the talks enthusiastic by her eyes closed. ..Meanwhile, she started to yawn and her words cameout blabbered. ..

Shravan understood that it's perhaps due to the hypoxia. .. (low levels of oxygen at atmosphere )..He patted her gently, listening to her blabber .little while later, sumo dozed off at his arms. ..shravan tugged her securely like a mother. ..He pressed his lips on her head, remembering her words. ..

" either it's life or death. ..it would be with you shravan. .."

  Shravan could do nothing except waiting for some miracles to happen ....
