Chapter 15

-A FEW WEEKS LATER-

CONORS POV

I bounce Penelope on my knee as I make faces at her

Me and Penelope have spent all day together because Emily wanted to go out and buy some new clothes

Obviously, I wanted to give her a break from looking after Penelope because I wasn't there at the beginning of Pennie's life and Emily was looking after her all on her own

So I thought it was only fair to give her a break

She came back not long ago and to my knowledge, she is trying clothes on now

I've spent most of my day watching Mickey Mouse's Club House and Sofia The First

Not that I minded because I got to spend time with Penelope

Also, those programs aren't actually that bad

"Shall we go and see mummy?" I ask Penelope as I stop bouncing her for a second

Penelope smile widens at the mention of seeing her mum so I get off the sofa and I lift her so I am holding her correctly

"Let's go!" I say before I kiss her on the forehead

She giggles in response

I bounce her lightly in my arms as I walk through the hallway and I make my way up the stairs

As I reach the top of the stairs, I hear music coming from inside of Emily's room

I knock on the door but there is no response from the other side of the door, probably because the music is so loud

I slowly open the door, in case Emily is getting changed or anything, to see her dancing around to a Spanish song that I recognised to be Subeme La Radio by Enrique Iglesias

She is stood with her back to me as she shakes her hips to the beat of the music

"Nice dance moves" I say with a smile

Emily jumps as she turns around and looks at me

"You scared the shit out of me!" she says as she turns around and looks at me

She walks over to her phone that I sat on her dressing table and presses the pause button on the youtube video

I go over to the crib that Emily has in her room for Penelope to sleep in and I put her in it before I go over to Emily and grab her by the hips and pull her close to me

I put my head into her neck and I feel her smile

Emily reaches over to grab her phone and she smiles as she presses the play button on the video but she turns it down

We slowly sway our hips together

She leans her head back to rest it on my shoulder as we dance around together

I smile as I spot us together in the mirror

This is what I live for

Me and Emily being together sharing moments like this

Once the song has finished playing, I wrap my arms around her waist as she spins around in my arms

"Well that was nice" I mumble to her with a smile

She nods

"That was definitely something" she says with a shy smile

We stay in that position for a while before I speak

"Emily, can I ask you a question?" I ponder

"Sure you can ask me anything" she replies with a smile
