Chapter 74 - Vulture

With just a few troubleshooting steps, I was able to obtain an internet connection. It seems na yung connection lang sa reception area ang may problema. Mabilis kong nabasa ang mga messages sa akin ni Baby Harold. 

Kiyoshi, some of our systems are intermittently malfunctioning. There seemed to be a massive damage with the Aquinas Island network connection before the zombie apocalypse happened. It is probably a sabotage and the general was furious as we have only evacuated few citizens.

Kiyoshi, the Saint Thomas port is heavily damaged. We lost a huge chunk in our team. A large horde of zombies are concentrated in this area and in the nearby Central Business District. Avoid this zone as much as possible. Take other route.

Kiyoshi, if you are with Che and JC, let them know that their parents are safe. Please let me know if you are fine. I am worried. I am hoping to hear from you soon, baby.

And yet, these messages were sent a few days ago. It means wala siyang messages sa akin ng huling mga araw. He is using my name Kiyoshi. It means na he is in serious mode.

Si Che at si Sienna naman ay may dalang mga pagkain mula sa pantry. Che's face looks unreadable. Hindi ko sure kung nag-away sila pero mukhang inaasar lang siya ng beshi ko.

"May internet connection na tayo. If you want to leave as soon as possible, we can try one of the cars ng company. We can go straight sa First Avenue. I checked the feeds at walang masyadong zombies around this area," sabi ko sa kanila habang kumakain ng dinner.

"Kio, hanggang walang update kay Harold, let us stay here. Hindi natin alam ang lagay ng situation sa Aquinas Island," sabi ni JC sa akin.

"Gusto ko rin makausap si Harold bago tayo umalis dito, but please see this video and let me know what you think," sabi ko kay Herschel sabay harap ng laptop sa kanila.

I showed them a video of an armored van na palabas mula sa Crimson Hotel. This is the same armored van na pag-aari ng mga Blackburn Vulture Gang. Binabaybay nito ang kahabaan ng Redwood Access Road papunta sa city.

Nang malapit na sila sa Central Business District, biglang may lumabas na lalaki sa van at nagpaputok ng baril. Several zombies are now running towards the van dahil na attract sa ingay ng baril. Medyo mabagal na ang mga zombies hindi tulad noon.

The gunshots created a chaos among the zombies at mabilis nilang nilapa ang lalaki. Within seconds, naging zombie ang lalaki at nagsimulang maglakad papunta sa armored van. Even other zombies are now following the van na papunta sa techno park.

"Why are they doing this? Why are they haunting us?" naiiyak na tanong ni Sav.

"Bes, they are called Vulture Gang as they are similar to the vulture birds. They are known to anticipate the death of a person that will soon die. They are like sadists who gains pleasure in hurting others. Nakita mo naman ang ginawa nila doon sa isang member nila. Walang kaluluwa ang mga taong yan," paliwanag ko kay Sav.

"They want to capture us para may laruan sila. Tama ba?" tanong naman ni Sienna sa akin.

"That is right, beshie. Lalo na ngayon at naubusan sila ng anim na tao. We already hurt their ego."

"Anong plano mo, Kio? Do you think they can find us here?"

"Sa ngayon, dahil nagdala sila ng zombies dito sa Technopark, magdadalawang isip sila na isa isahin ang mga office buildings dito. But I don't really know what this nutcase gang is thinking. I will observe their movement from time to time."

Walang recent messages kay Harold at may humahabol sa amin na notorious gang. Mukhang mas malaking problema ang dala ng zombie apocalypse version two...
