Shawn and Jessie sat at opposite ends of the Van on there way down to the hospital. "Sam, I never wanted this to happen. You know that right?" Jessie fasked, on the verge of tears. She had finally realized that the only girl that would stand by her through everything officially hated her.
"I don't know what you want anymore Jess. Last year, you wanted to fit in, be just like Savannah and me. This year you don't care who you hurt. You need to find out who you are before you start making decisions like this," Meranda said, leaning her head against the window as she watched the trees and buildings go by.
"So...Savannah was in love with him. It wasn't just a crush anymore," Jessie whispered into Meranda's ear. Meranda looked at her in sympathy.
"If Savannah started fighting for him like she should. You'd lose, he loves her too. He's just to God Damn Blind to see it," Meranda hissed at her. "I mean of it, and I would help Savannah win. Because nothing me, Samantha or Savannah does will ever be as bad as what you did to her. That's a promise." Meranda turned around again and looked out the window. Ignoring Jessie who was fighting with her self not to cry.
"Shawn, what exactly happened?" Cameron asked, driving the van towards the hospital, Savannah's Mom, Dad, and Sister and Shawn's Mom, Dad and little sister, a head of them by two cars. Shawn shrugged before looking out the window.
"Was it you? Were you the one to put the video on my computer knowing I would watch it," Shawn asked, looking at his friend.
"No, try Matt. Matthew and Bethany have had something the past few months and Beth has Matt whipped. Whatever she asks, he does. So, Matt might have done it," Cameron told him. looking at Shawn. He knew very well what video Shawn was talking about, and he knew who put in on there but he wasn't going to rat just because Shawn wanted him too.
"It's just...I never realized being in a relationship would be so damn difficult," Shawn whispered, hoping that Jessie never heard him. "With Savannah every summer it was easy, this one with Jessie. It's really complicated," Shawn told him.
"That's because Jessie is Savannah's best friend. Savannah fell in love with you and you won't give her the chance to be with you year round. If you two tried, you two would have made it but you never gave her the chance instead throughout the school year you dated everyone but her," Cameron told Shawn. He was sick and tired of him halling Savannah around like she was nothing. "Savannah's a person too. Make your choice before she can't be fixed," Cameron told him friend the truth. Savannah was losing who she was day by day.
Shawn let what Cameron told him sink in before walking into the hospital that they had pulled into. "She has a really bad case of food poisoning. She has to stay over night so they can keep an observation on her," Savannah's mother said to everyone before following the doctor down to the room her daughter was in.
"Food poisoning, from what? She hasn't eaten anything we haven't," Shawn said, then the facial expression of Meranda changed.
"Yes she did. Last night we raided Matthew's mini-fridge and we stole all his food," Samantha said, they all heard her swallow. "She ate this cookie, I'm not sure what kind of cookie it was but we dared her to eat it," Samantha said, twirling her hair around her finger and looking at the ceiling because she didn't want to see the look on Matt's face.
"You girls stole my food?" Matt asked, looking at the three girls in the room. Meranda let out a humorless laugh.
"Jessie wasn't invited to this party. It was just me, Sam and Vannah," Meranda said, sending a bitchy smile at the blonde standing across from her, hand in Shawn's. "But yeah, we took your food. We ate it all too," Meranda said, walking over to the seats and sat down. "It was suppose to be harmless fun. Just take your food, we were going to buy it all back," Meranda whispered.
