Savannah and Shawn just laid in bed thinking about the late night conversation they had, and the more they thought about it the more they thought they would make it this time, That there relationship wouldn't fail, but then there was the obstacles that made them scared of what might be ahead of them. There was Jessie who told them that it was fine and was pushing Savannah towards Shawn, but in Jessie's eyes whenever she spoke you could see the fight in her eyes.
"I just...want this to be over with," Savannah muttered, as she turned over on her stomach and looked down at Shawn. Her hair all string like and messy, he smiled up at her and pushed it behind her ear. "It's like I'm in this rut and mom always says that she and dad are going to get the divorce but then within the week they're back at it. Kissing each other's buttholes."
"Hopefully this time it is, I mean I've been friends and more than friends with you long enough to see that they're clearly not happy. It's not that they've never been happy it's just that they don't show that they're happy together," Shawn said looking Savannah in the eyes. She let out a small smile before touching her lips to his. It wasn't the first time they kissed so it wasn't awkward.
People may say they were moving to fast but really since they had already had a makeout session on the roof it wasn't really weird to kiss. Shawn cupped Savannah's cheeks before kissing her again, his hand held her in place.
The kiss turned heated and fast. It wasn't long until Shawn had flipped them over and he was on top of her pinning her to the bed. There was a knock on the door and then a gasp. Shawn pulled back and turned his head. Jessie. "This isn't what it looks like," Shawn said looking at her, a look of shame on his face.
"Seriously Shawn? You're suppose to be with me and Jess. WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Savannah said looking over at her friend from in under Shawn.
"I came to find you Van, but you're in Shawn's bed already. I would have thought you would have let me get over him before...before this!" Jessie said, moving her hands as she spoke. Savannah groaned in frustration before pushing him off of her and standing in front of her looking her in the eyes.
"You should have seen this coming the moment you told me to fight, fight for him, give him another chance," Savannah said, she rolled her eyes before walking towards the door. "And Shawn, I get it. I really do, you just broke up with her and you're a nice person but sometimes you're to nice. You're my boyfriend, not hers."
Shawn got up and walked over to Savannah taking her hand in his. "Jessie. You're leaving," He said, Savannah looked over at Jessie and smiled. "I made my choice, one day you're going to find someone who will love you the way you love them...but that person isn't me. I'm sorry that I may have led you on into believing that I could be that person but I can't. The person who loves me, is standing in front of me trying to make us work and I'm just screwing it up," Shawn told her, still facing Savannah.
"Thank you for being honest."
* 5 Day's Later *
"Shawn! Put me down!" Savannah screamed as Shawn ran into the house that was now so empty, with her flung over his shoulders. The laughs of the boys - Cameron, Matt, Taylor, Nash, Hayes, Aaron, Jacob, Jack G, Jack J, and Carter - and Savannah's best friends - Meranda, Samantha, Jessie, Bethany and Leah - were filled as they walked in. Shawn threw Savannah onto the couch and started tickling her. She rolled off the couch hoping to get away from Shawn.
"Fine, I'll stop!" He said, putting his hands up in surrender. Jessie still found it hard to watch them together as a couple but she knew she had to. Savannah and Shawn were in love and it was clear to everyone in this room. She couldn't believe how she didn't see it before now, but she knew why she didn't. Savannah caught her breath while lying on the floor.
"So, your moms really gone?" Leah asked, sitting on the new couch. The last couch was a purple and this one was brown. Everything about the family was gone and everything in this living room was the start of their new life. Just Savannah and her dad. Savannah's talking brought Leah back to reality.
"...so Dad is heading back to New York to talk to his lawyers so it's just me, Shawn, Cam and Meranda staying here for the next week or so," Savannah told us, a smile in her eyes as she locked eyes with Shawn. Jessie turned her head to look away, she knew very well what Savannah and Shawn planned on doing and it pained her. It was like a knife shoved into heart and it's being rotated every time she sees them together.
Beth placed her hand on Jessie's shoulder knowing seeing them together must hurt. "You'll get over it Jess. I mean, seeing them together like that will one day warm your heart because you know you got yourself out of a loveless relationship," Beth told her, giving her a light hug before walking towards the happy couple.
Jessie just sat on chair, just watching the happy couple and the rest of group. Everyone seemed happy, it sort of seemed as if she didn't belong with them anymore until she felt someone tapping her shoulder. "Jack...right?" She asked, catching his eye.
"Yeah, ex-girlfriend of Shawn and his new girlfriends best friend, am i right?" Jack asked, sitting across from her. Jessie let out a small laugh before shifting her gaze back to Savannah and Shawn. "Oh god," She whispered as Shawn gave Savannah a kiss on the cheek causing her to blush a crimsim red. "Wanna get out of here? I guess they don't really understand that you're not over whatever you and him had."
Jessie shook her head no. "I have to get use to it. I mean, how else am I going to if I don't deal with it now? Shawn and Savannah are clearly not breaking up and I just need to accept that," Jessie said, and turned towarda the two.
They all stayed for a little while until around 11 and everyone went back to their houses. Meranda and Cameron went to get some food. "So..."
"So," Savannah said, turning her body so she was straddling her boyfriend. "What's it going to be? Makeout session on the couch where their's a possiblity of Meranda and Cam might walk in or in my room with the door-" She didn't even get a chance to finish her sentence his lips were on hers once again. She smiled into the kissed before pulling back. "Not happening out here," She laughed, grabbing his hand and running upstairs to her.
"I don't really wanna go back there. What if they're doing it on the couch? I mean, Shawn and Savannah...sort of...trust each other a little too much," Meranda said, staring at the house that was dark with Cameron next to her. The McDonalds and Tim Hortons on the backseat.
"Well Shawn is waiting on his muffin," Cameron said grabbing the back. "And if they are doing it on the couch, we'll just walk upstairs and let it be. It's normal for two people who love each other to have...that."
"Yeah but-"
"No buts," Meranda sighed before getting out of the car with Cameron behind her.
"One thing, can I finally get a date with you? Ya know, now that the whole Jessie and Shawn crap is over with?" Cameron asked, a smile spread on Meranda's face.
"Pick me up tomorrow at 6," She said, she grabbed the McDonald's and went inside the house. Shawn and Savannah were no where to be seen. "I knew it!"
"At least they went upstairs," Cameron said, taking a seat and getting his big mac out of the McDonalds bag. Meranda just rolled her eyes and laughed before sitting down.
