Grace was down at the field. She felt nerves coming. You'll do fine. Half of her was saying. I don't want to beat Lucas, nor Edward. The other half was said. She sighed.

"Righty then," She turned towards the announcer known as Charlie. "All the archers, please draw your bows." Grace reached back and grabbed an arrow. Raised her bow and set it to be let go in any second. "We will see who can get the most bullseyes with in five arrows." She looked around, including herself there were eight people. Two at a time will be eliminated. She took a breath of calmness as Charlie said. "Ready. Set. Go!"

Grace wasn't directly taking her time but she did get two arrows at the target almost in 30 seconds after the announcer said go. This princess is extremely competitive. She drew her third arrow, she got the trick again for the second time after she had gotten the day before. She could faintly hear the announcer say, "Wow! Look at Jaden, everyone! Well, who are in the stands, of course. He's on fire!" The crowd was cheering, not as loud as Nick's cheers, but then again, he was the only known Jewel Leaf royal who was competing.

As Grace drew her last arrow, she started getting slightly dizzy, she took a deep breath and relaxed. Still having the arrow drawn, she gently shook herself to stop the dizziness, barely moving the bow, she focused and shot it. Again, she got all shots directly at the target. All the arrows were broken now.

"Everyone stop!" The announcer shouted. Bling! Everyone turned to the sound. Next to Grace, Lucas had just let the arrow go as the announcer said that, it was all quiet but he did too do the same thing as Grace. Under the mask he was most likely red.

"Oops?" Lucas shrugged.

The crowd laughed, not meanly just as how perfect timing that was.

Grace smiled at him. Though she couldn't see, he was smiling back.

"Alright Lucas very nice job." He smiled, softly. Lucas thanked him.

"Well our three winners of this round is..." Grace breathed for luck.

"Edward in third!

"Lucas in second!" The crowd was cheering now.

"And then first place is...

"Jaden!" The crowd was cheering hard for the two of the best archers from their kingdom.

"Nice job," Charlie went over to to 'Jaden' known as Grace, and and shook her hand. She shook back. She thanked him before he let go and went to face the audience. "Well, that's it for the first round. Now it's time for disqualification. Here we have," He walked down, farther down from Grace and Lucas, but not all the way down the line. The announcer stopped at one man, who was, to admit, quivering. "What is your name?" Charlie asked the man.

"Steve," He replied, he also had a shake to his voice.

"Well, Steve," Charlie sighed. "I'm sorry to say that, you are disqualified. Though you did a nice job, you do, only have one of the lowest scores."

"Thank you," The man so called Steve walked out by the gate at the end of the stadium gates.

As Charlie looked down at his clipboard he said. "Now, who is next." Looking up from his clipboard, he went further down the line farther from Grace, Lucas and Edward. He started talking to another man as Lucas whispered to Grace.

"Nice job."

Grace smiled, but nodded. "Thanks you too."

"Thanks."

"What do you think the next challenge will be?" She whispered back.

"I'm not sure. If they do the same or not, I've only been to one. Which was last year." He shrugged.
