The Guardians Of Serina

Chapter 9 Welcome to Serina

The group watched as Scarleen rummaged through her bag to find what they needed. "Where is it?" She kept mumbling to herself. The stone she needed was small, but palm sized, and very shiny and smooth. across from them. Although, she kept looking back the way they had come with her bow and quiver at her feet.

"Found it!" Scarleen cried out happily as she pulled out a shiny glowing rock.

"Great!" Erin said. She and everyone else got up and crowded around Scarleen to see the rock.

Grace had stayed, she was sitting on a log next to Nick while Erin and Lucas sat

"How do you get it to work?" Lucas asked.

"Magic, of course," Scarleen rolled her eyes and offered him a smile. "But we have to put put the fire,"

Grace got up and grabbed a bucket of water and dumped it on top of the fire, it sizzled going out. Nick got a handful of dirt and threw it on the ashes and embers.

Scarleen held out her hand that was holding the glowing stone. "Now to get to Serina, you all have to imagine the castle, does everyone remember it?" They all nodded and got up and walked over to Scarleen. "Good, put, one finger on the stone, close your eyes, and imagine Serina, and make sure you are holding your weapons or they will not come, understood?" The group held there weapons a bit tighter. "Does anyone have any bags?" The group of four in front of her shook their heads no. "Okay, so now do what I told you," They each put their finger on the stone, and closed their eyes. Scarleen circled her hand over the stone once with her free hand, closed her eyes, and put one finger on the stone.

There was a flash of light.

And they were gone.

Avelina was standing on the balcony of the Jewel Leaf castle. She felt a very strong breeze flow by. Someone just left... She thought as she saw a flash of light that no one else noticed. Only those who remembered about Serina and Orient would feel the wind and see the flash.

The Queen then realized that Scarleen possibly did remember and the curse did not affect her, since she and her parents kept giving her looks. She could've gone back to Serina...She must have taken Gracen, Nicholas, and those two servants with her... Avelina thought. But why? Avelina stood there for a few seconds thinking, then it hit her. They can't all be...The Guardians? There are suppose to be six of them. Who would be the sixth? Could they really be?

The stepmother walked back inside and went to Scarleen's room. She opened the door to see an empty room. It looked as though no one was ever there.. the only thing different was that there was a letter on the bed, Evelina walked over to letter, picked it up, opened it, and read:

Dear Mother and Father,

I'm okay, don't worry about me. I have Grace, Nick, Aaron, and Lucas with me, so we can frequent Alina and defeat the spell. I kept listening to the prophecy that was born when Grace was. The only thing is... there is one more guardian I and the others have to find. It's a creature of some sort, and to be honest, I'm quite worried. What will I do if we can't find the creature? Or will I even know?

We will be fine though, we're at Grace's campsite from where she found me lying on the ground with an arrow sticking out of my leg. I I am going to explain to him all about our world, and Antopia, and give them the vision. And hopefully we can go to Serina, show them the proxy, find the last guardian, and our gems.

If we succeed free Alina. don't worry I'll be safe and I'll keep them all safe until they are able to use their powers. I'll be back soon.
