Wonwoo's POV

It was Friday already. The week went by so fast. For once, I actually enjoyed school. For once, people didn't avoid me. For once, I was surrounded by genuinely nice people, with genuine smiles. For once, I had friends. I had been spending a lot of time in school, taking to especially Soonyoung and Junhui. I had also made friends with the others. Except one. The one.

I had been putting up my guard, only towards him, hoping nobody would notice. Thankfully, nobody did. I could feel him staring at me. His eyes drilling into the back of my head. It was uncomfortable, but there was no way in hell I would let my guard down. If I did, I would possibly just fall for him, and that's not what I wanted to do. Not right now.

"Hey Wonwoo, which way are you going?"

I pointed to my left.

"Great! Then we can go together" Junhui said with a smile and hooked my arm with his own. I supposed he saw my surprised expression, and quickly let go of me.

"I'm sorry if that made you uncomfortable, that's just how I usually do with my friends"

"It's alright, I don't mind. I thought you and Mingyu usually went home together?"

"He said he had some stuff to do" he paused a bit "Anyway, Hansol is throwing a party tomorrow, do you want to go?"

"Uh I guess? Who else is coming?"

"The others I suppose? Maybe not Jisoo hyung, I'm not sure. There'll also be some other guys including one hottie I've been laying my eyes on" He said with a smug smile at the end.

"Cool, I'll come"

We talked a lot while walking to our homes. Mostly, Jun was fanboying about that one hottie. I think his name was Hoseok? Apparently he had an amazing body. I wasn't sure how Jun knew though. We decided to go to the party together, since I didn't know where Hansol lived. We also agreed to meet up at his house to get ready, since we lived quite close.

-later, at home-

I sat on my balcony, wrapped in a blanket and with Bimil laying peacefully on my lap. As I stroked her fur I watched the sky turn a vibrant and beautiful shade of pink. I took out my phone to snap a few pictures, before it was too late. I found it kind of sad, how the most beautiful time of the day, only lasted such a short while. Maybe that was just how life works. Everything beautiful and enjoyable, only last for a certain amount of time. The world and all its emptiness, however, seemed to last forever.

All the pain just wouldn't go away, not completely at least. It could be put on hold due to me being distracted, but it would always linger deep down in the darkest parts of me. For a moment, I just wanted to forget everything. When I felt like this, I would stare at the sky. I could sit on my balcony, and stare at the city and the sky turn black. The night sky was beautiful too. I had always been so pissed that I wasn't able to capture it in a picture. The stars didn't bless us with their beauty that often though, due to the constantly cloudy weather and polluted air. Therefore, when they occasionally did show, I would stare at the sky the entire night. Whether it was from my balcony, or from my room, through the window. My mom always told me that it wasn't healthy to stay up all night, but I couldn't help it.

I could feel the hunger starting to kick in, as I hadn't eaten much the entire day. I got up and grabbed my keys and some money, then I locked Bimil inside the apartment. I didn't want her to run around outside at night. Then I started walking towards the convenience store. I could have just eaten at home, but I really wanted banana milk, so I decided to go get it, and just eat some ramen at the convenience store.

The sky was turning dark while I walked toward the little store. I hadn't been there since that day, but then, it was only two days ago. I went down one of the aisles and grabbed a shin-ramyun, before continuing to walk to the fridge and grabbed a banana milk.  After paying, I filled up the cup/bowl with boiling water, sat down at a table and poked the straw through the lid of the banana milk. The 'budget' life isn't that bad huh? It was very quiet in the small store, aside from the background noises. I liked that, it was nice. The cashier was doing homework at the counter, and didn't seem to pay any attention to me.

I finished eating my noodles, and got up to throw out the bowl. Just then I heard footsteps and a familiar spoke, I couldn't really remember who I belonged to.

"Ugh finally man, that took forever!"

"Shoot yeah! I almost forgot you were here"

"Wow thanks! Can you please remind me why we're friends?"

"Because you tripped over my foot and I wanted to apologize so I brought you boba and we just bonded?"

"Ugh cool smartass, I'll be of now then. Enjoy your shift Eunwoo!"

"I hope you trip again"

A laugh was heard. "Oh by the way, did he come?"

Silence.

Footsteps.

"Hey"

I looked up. HOLY CRAP! Out of reflex I hugged the bowl, which resulted in me getting soaked with the water from my ramen. GREAT! This is so embarrassing!

"Oh my god Wonwoo, are you alright!?" The male before me asked loudly.

"I think? Dang Mingyu, you startled me" I said, lightly hitting his shoulder.

"I'm so so so sorry! Shoot, you're all wet! Here, come on. I'll lend you some clothes."

He grabbed my wrist and dragged me out of the store, quickly saying bye to his friend. It took me a while to process what was going on. It all happened so fast. He unlocked the door and dragged me inside.

"Wait, what the hell Mingyu?! Why? I can just go home it's-"

"Shush. I made you spill your ramen, so I'll wash your clothes."

"What? Then what am I supposed to do in the meantime?" What is he thinking? That I should run around butt-naked?

"As I said, I'll lend you clothes, and you can stay here in the meantime"

"It's fine I can just go home and-"

"Nope. Besides, I actually wanted to hang out with you. We haven't spoken since Sunday."

"... Okay then. I'll stay"

"YAY! You can go shower if you want, I'll get you some clothes." He said, opening the door to the bathroom

"Thank you..."
