Lucy's POV

I slowly opened my eyes to see the morning sun shining right at me. I noticed how hard my bed was. The bed somehow felt rocky and stiff. It felt like little pebbles and rocks were jabbing into my sides and my back. I also noticed how cold it was. Did I leave my window open yesterday? And why is the outside air so cold? The temperature felt like it was 40 degrees Fahrenheit, but then realization struck me. I wasn't even in my room. I was in the cave that I found yesterday. I remembered the train ride yesterday, the creepy and eerie looking forest, the ominous looking cave. How surprised I was when I met Itou, the long conversation that I had with him, everything.

Speaking of Itou, I looked around trying to find where he was. After I looked around for about 10 seconds, my eyes came across a bundle of blankets on the other side of the cave. I groaned and got up from my little bundle of a blanket. I sneezed and shivered from the cold. I might have caught a cold. As soon as I realized that, I put my blanket around my shoulders and walked over to the pile of firewood. I picked up a few pieces and placed them on top of the pile of burnt ashes. I lazily strutted over to one of my suitcases and got out a box of matches. I opened the box and got one of the matches out. I lit the match on fire and threw it into the pile of wood. A little fire started and produced little warmth. I sat down near the fire and started warming myself.

Itou's POV

I woke up to a little fire burning a few feet away from me. It was small, but it was nice and comforting. The little blazing specks of fire radiated as if it was alive. It was a beautiful sight to see. I breathed out a sigh of content as I laid next to the little burning fire. Then I looked a little bit more up to see Lucy happily humming to a song I didn't recognize. She had a calm and happy expression on her face, and because of that, I also smiled.

Lucy looked over at me and we made eye contact. We stayed like that for a little while. We weren't talking, but we were just looking at each other. It wasn't like an awkward silence. It was a calm and peaceful silence. But, we couldn't just look at each other for eternity, so I decided to break the silence.

"Well good morning. How are you doing this morning?" I said as I lazily rubbed my eyes awake.

"I'm doing good. And you?" Lucy cheerfully replied while she stared into the fire with interest.

"Great. What should we do today?" I commented while slowly getting up and scooting closer to the little warm fire.

"I don't know. How about we start training?" Lucy said as she started kept on staring into the fire.

"Okay then, sure," I replied as I started to get up to stretch.

"What should we start off with?" Lucy said as she looked over at me with questioning eyes.

"How about we start off with a little bit of basic training. Maybe twenty laps around the clearing in the forest a little ways out from here." I replied as I turned around to look at her.

"Twenty laps!? Isn't that a little too much for the first training session?" Lucy exclaimed with wide eyes.

"No, it's not. In my opinion, it's not enough. So chop chop, the laps aren't going to run itself are they?" I said as I scoffed and rolled my eyes in a playful manner. I saw her pout in a cute way while I just laughed. She rolled her eyes and we started running to the clearing in the forest. (The clearing is in the Media)

After we got there, she started running the laps. It seems like she was not using too much energy, which was a great idea. She really doesn't have hardcore training experience, does she? Oh, whatever. As I kept watching, I got lost in my own thought, not really paying attention to her anymore. I finally snapped out of it when she walked up to me and bent over putting her hands on her knees while panting.
