Alice's POV

As the lady was coming toward me with incredible speed, I also jumped and attacked her as well. Our attacks collided, her sword and my staff coming together with a clinging noise. We held our weapons there for a few seconds, smiling evilly at each other until we retreated and jumped back.

"Oh yeah, and by the way, my name is Suzumi," she said as we started to head toward each other again. I just kept my mouth shut and focused on the fight as Suzumi looked at me as if she was expecting me to say something.

"Aren't you going to say your name? I already said mine. It's only fair that you tell me yours." Suzumi said with an unpleased look on her face. I swung my staff at her and then replied.

"Lucy," I said. She looked at me questioningly and I rolled my eyes. This urged her to swing at me with a little more aggression. "My name is Lucy," I repeated. She looked at me and smiled after getting the answer that she wanted. Our weapons clashed a couple more times until it felt like the fight was going nowhere. I quickly mind-linked Hatter and asked him to be back-up for a little while. He quickly agreed and came to my aid.

We stood next to each other and Suzumi looked at us with pleasure. "Aww, were you so scared that you had to call one of your friends? That's so cute. At least I know that I'm doing my job right and I'm beating you!" She said. I quickly told Hatter using mind-link about how I wanted him to fight until I was ready with my magic attack. He quietly nodded and went up to Suzumi. He started sending attacks of his own to her and she dodged them. In the back, I was preparing another one of my spells that was sure to alter the whole battle.

"Oh, holy gods,

the beings that I call friends,

please lend me thy power

to destroy the enemies that appear before me,

to make them suffer a pathetic defeat,

to even cancel out their magical power

and give their power to my allies.

Oh, holy gods,

let me cast this powerful spell,

radiate,

ELIMINATING HEAVEN'S LIGHT!"

Right as I said this spell, bright lights from the sky fell and circled all of the enemies. They all started to drop down onto their knees one by one as the light seemed to be glowing brighter. As all of the guild members were on their knees panting, the light seemed to go towards the direction of my teammates and Sabertooth. The Sabertooth members looked at the light in fear but soon realized that it didn't cause them harm. In fact, it made them feel stronger than they were before.

The spell that I cast was a spell that drained all of the magic from the enemies and implant that magic into the allies' body. It made the enemies extremely weak and the allies extremely strong. As the Sabertooth members started to feel the power flow into them, they easily figured out that it was Lucy's doing. They quickly looked at her and smiled. They then went back to fighting and were able to defeat the other guild members in an instant. With the mage that kept on replenishing their magic and health also out of magic, the guild members were not able to recover. The Sabertooth members and some teammates tied them up so they couldn't escape. Once they finished, they started talking about how they were going to give the guild members to the magic council for them to be arrested.

As they finished up their tasks, I also got back to the task at hand, which was defeating Suzumi. Hatter retreated and stood next to my side, waiting for me to tell him what to do. I looked over at him and told him to see if Suzumi still had some fighting spirit left in her. He obliged and started attacking Suzumi again. Suzumi was able to defend and add some of her attacks like before but it seemed like she wasn't as strong as before. I joined Hatter in the fight and started attacking Suzumi with my staff again.

"Wow, this took an unfortunate turn of events," she said.

"Not unfortunate for us," Hatter stated as he smirked.

I smirked alongside him and we dealt the finishing blow. We held our hands together and used our separate attacks with our free hand. The attack hit Suzumi full force and she fell backward, passing out. I quickly grabbed her hand and yanked her forward, trying to make her sit upright. I took her over to a tree and quickly tied her up and walked back over to Hatter. We both smiled at each other and looked around, seeing if everything was dealt with or not.

I looked at where the remaining members of my team stood and found them surrounding the man in a black cloak. He seemed to be passed out and bound with handcuffs that cancel out magic. All of my team members looked at me and gave a thumbs up as I did as well.

After inspecting all of what had happened and to see if everything was completed, I finally relaxed my shoulders and let myself calm down. I sighed a breath of relief as I started to sit down on the floor. Hatter soon joined me and also heaved a breath of relief. Our teammates then took all of the guild members and gathered them into one big clump. I asked some of my teammates to go deliver them to the magic council and they happily agreed. They walked off into the distance until they were not able to be seen. The Sabertooth members headed over to where Hatter and I sat and sat down as well.

"Thank you," I said. The Sabertooth members looked at me with confusion.

"Why would you be thanking us? I think it should be the other way around. You were the one that defeated most of the members and if you weren't there, we probably wouldn't have been able to defeat them." Sting said as he looked the other way. I could tell that Sting wanted to act cool but was still trying to express his gratitude. I grinned at his response and looked up at the sky.

"Yeah, I agree. You're the one that did most of the work. Thank you for helping us and doing a lot of the work on this mission, Alice." Rufus said as he nodded with agreement. All of the Sabertooth members nodded in agreement with him and I couldn't help the smile that grew even bigger than before. I could see Hatter in the corner of my eyes with a proud expression. I saw my other teammates that didn't go to drop off the guild members head toward our direction with a proud look as well.

I laid down on the ground and covered my eyes with an arm, partially covering my face. I couldn't help the few happy tears that pricked my eyes. I was finally able to protect my friends instead of them protecting me. I was able to make them have a proud look on their faces. I was able to fight people with my own strength. I was able to prove myself strong.
