Lucy's POV
I woke up in my bed with aching pains all over my body. I opened my eyes to see that it was dark outside. I slowly rubbed my pain away as I looked around to find Itou. What surprised me was that he had his head laying on my bed. He was sitting on the ground and leaning against my bed, sleeping peacefully. I smiled a bit and patted his head gently. I looked over to the other side of the bed and saw my brother. Tears welled up in my eyes and they slowly trickled down. I finally got to meet him again. It had been 15 years since I last saw him. I couldn't help but smile wider as I saw him also sleeping.
I wiped the tears away as I quietly lifted the blankets off of me. I got off the bed, trying not to wake them up. I put the blanket over the two sleeping people and walked over to the entrance of the cave. I looked above me to see the moon in the middle of the sky. I silently acknowledged the time as I looked back to see the faces of Itou and Caspian. I saw tiredness and exhaustion on their faces. My face clouded with guilt and looked back out of the cave, staring at the beautiful starry sky. I slowly walked out of the cave to have a better look at the stars. I went to our training space and laid down, once again looking at the stars.
Caspian's POV
I rubbed my eyes awake and yawned while I stretched. I felt a blanket on my arms when I stretched so I looked back onto the bed. To my surprise, I saw nothing but Itou still sleeping soundly. It took me a few seconds to realize what really happened. Lucy was gone. My face now filled with horror I shook Itou awake.
"Itou! ITOU!! Lucy's gone!" I screamed at him as he woke up. He stared at me with a blank expression, still half asleep.
"WHAT?!" He screamed after he knew how dire the situation was. We quickly ran out of the cave to find her. We screamed her name while we were trying to look for Lucy.
We were looking for her for 5 minutes until Itou started running in one direction. I ran after him with a look of confusion etched on my face.
"Itou, where are you going?" I yelled as I was trying to catch up to him. Man, he's fast.
"I think I know where Lucy is. Whenever she wonders off in the night, she usually goes to our training spot to go stargazing." He replied as he started running faster.
"If you say so," I said as we ran to the training area.
We ran for about 3 minutes until we finally arrived. Once we got to the clearing, I could see Lucy sleeping peacefully on the grass. She looked so calm and I didn't want to disturb her. It seemed like Itou didn't want to either so we just laid down next to her. We watched the occasional shooting star as it flew across the sky. We were laying there for about 10 minutes until we slept under the beautiful night sky.
Lucy's POV
The bright sunlight on my face woke me up from a beautiful dream. I sat up and stretched while noticing my grassy surroundings. I noticed how Caspian and Itou were sleeping next to me with a pleasant face while I smiled and stood up. I jogged a lap around the clearing to warm up a bit and decided to wake the two up. I walked towards them and nudged their shoulders.
"Hey. It's time to wake up." I said quietly. Their eyes opened a little bit and woke up. Caspian just yawned while Itou sat there staring off into space. It took them a little while for them to truly wake up and when they did, they pounced on top of me.
"Thank god you're alright! I thought you were never gonna wake up!" Caspian said as he cried into my shoulder.
"Do you know how much you worried us? How long did you plan to make us wait?!" Itou said as he hugged me tightly. I looked at them shocked for a second until I hugged both of them back.
"I'm sorry I didn't wake up earlier. About how long was I out?" I asked as they slowly pulled away.
"You were asleep for 2 weeks. I was going to blame myself if you didn't wake up." Caspian said as he looked down with a downcast expression. I understood why it took so long for me to wake up and why Caspian would've blamed himself.
"It's gonna be alright now. I'm as good as new now, right?" I said as I smiled at the two. They both nodded their heads and smiled back. We started talking about what we should.
"Oh yes. I know what to do." Caspian said as his smile grew bigger.
"What?" Itou and I both asked at the same time with curiousness.
"We should go to the Realm of Gods. That's what I was trying to do in the first place, bring you back home." Caspian said as he looked over at me. Itou looked excited to go see what the realm was like while I slowly started getting more nervous by the second. What if they don't accept me anymore? What if they didn't want me to go back? Do they even like me anymore? What if-
"Lucy, calm down. It's not like they don't like you anymore. They were the ones that actually brought it up and I volunteered to pick you up. They still want to see you." Caspian said as he interrupted my thoughts. I looked at him with worry but his confidence reassured me. Itou was still thinking about all of the cool stuff he could do in the realm when we get there.
"Ok then. Let's go to the Realm of Gods!" I shouted as I pumped my fist in the air. Caspian and Itou both nodded their heads and they too pumped their fists in the air.
Caspian started to say an incantation that soon resulted in a portal opening in front of us. The portal was black with purple and blue. (Picture of the portal is in the Media) I looked at the portal with confidence and a smile on my face. The two had expressions similar to mine and we both looked ahead with our heads held high. This sure was gonna be a long journey.
