A Shoddy Existence

Chapter 5 Part 2

"Hey, Jason, I got some blankets."

Jason turned to look at Minkyu from his spot in the grass. "Okay." 

Jason took the small bundle out of Minkyu's hands and placed it atop the roof of the car. He then opened the door and set up a small bed-like space in the back seats of the car. Satisfied, he stepped back out of the car and observed his work. "Do you have the lanterns?" He asked.

Minkyu nodded slightly,picked the small lantern up off the ground and handed it to Jason. The sun was already setting and the air was getting colder. Jason wasn't too worried about the man finding their hiding spot since it was in a secluded thicket of tall bushes and small trees. Plus he wasn't planning to use the lantern unless it was an emergency, it was a fire hazard after all, and Jason was all about safety. He thought maybe they should take turns keeping watch if Minkyu was fine. "Hey, should we take turns keeping watch?" 

"Uh, Yeah. I'll take first watch."
"Okay. Once it gets dark we'll start."

It wouldn't be long until the sun disappeared from the sky so he went back inside the house to see if there was anything else he needed. He had to walk quite a long way to get back since they were in the backyard. Once reaching the backdoor, which was only a screen, he stepped inside to make sure all the lights were off when he noticed a figure through the living room window. He couldn't really make it out since the person was all the way down the street making it hard to see, but he noticed the figure was very broad shouldered and tall. It then clicked in his mind. 'It's the biker guy...' he thought as he could clearly make out the distinct red hair and leather jacket the figure wore.  

He quickly ran back out the back door as quietly as he could as to not alert the biker-guy and made his way back to Minkyu.

Minkyu jumped as Jason flung himself through the bushes. "Jeez, are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost."

"T-The biker guy's back..."

Minkyu went from startled to worried as his eyes widened. "Well, what do we do??"
