"What?" She asks, seeming distant.

"What were you like as a kid?" Skylor asks her best friend, watching her eyes roaming her face, trying to figure out why she's asking.

"Mmm, I was... normal," Nya shrugs, "I went to school, hung out with friends and played games.. Pretty unextrordinary."

Nya's sitting on the dock again, watching the boys and Skylor fish. She thinks it's cruel, as well as having serious patience issues, and being able to sense the fish, which really tampers with the results of their contests. Nya lies back onto the splintering wood of one of Stiix's docks' posts.

"I would move your reel over to the right if I were you," says Nya, breaking the main rule of their contest as she gives her best friend advice.

"Wait, you can sense them?"

"I can sense anything living."

"So that's why Jay wanted you!"

Nya smiled as she puts on a pair of blue-rimmed sunglasses, "And he's a cute puppy who's been reading waaay too many Jaya fanfics."

Skylor laughs, swinging her bright red ponytail in the process. "Honestly you're hilarious."

Two hours later, everyone's sick of the heat. They grab their tackle box and reels, and head back after Skylor unsurprisingly wins.

"Next time you're so on my team," Jay whispers to her as they pack up their stuff. Just then, they hear an odd sound in the woods nearby. It sounds like a scream. They all decide to check it out.

"Hey Zane, know what it is?" Jay asks. Nya squeezes his hand reassuringly. "It appears to be-" just then, Zane falls over drained.

"ZANE!" Cole screams at his boyfriend. He catches him just before he hits the ground of the clearing they just entered. Jay checks his wiring.

"Whoa. It's like something or someone made him shortcircuit." He says, before closing Zane's chest.

As they move forward, Cole carrying Zane, Kai notices a figure.

"Stop," he mutters, and they all stare at the seated figure's silhouette, barely visible in the evening light. Then the figure raises a hand and there's a bang. And silence.

And that's when it begins.
