That night, Chen finally realizes what he's done. After sprinkling the necessary iron dust and drawing the necessary pentagrams, he tries to get away, but it's hopeless. There's no way out. He tries to send out his servants as bait. They don't make it two steps, but their bodies mess up the carefully designed symbols. He dies in his room shortly afterward, a lonely coward.

Nya wakes up to voices. Quiet at first, they progressively get louder. She stands up. The voices are just... wrong. And yet some part of her recognizes them. Nya gently kicks the ginger clasping her foot, and walks to the window.

Meanwhile, the people outside can smell her. They know she's taken the first bait. They just need to be patient.

Morro runs downstairs. He has the best hearing out of all of them. The water girl! Or, um, the water baby? Well, she isn't exactly a baby, but still. But that isn't Morro's concern. "What the heck is her name?" He quietly mutters as he makes the executive decision to not waste time on that. He slide tackles her just as she is about to touch the window. That's the point where she demonstrates her ability to scream.

Cole feels safe. Secure. He never really realized what it means to have someone truly love you. Nya was too young and too confused to understand. All of those other hookups were trash. And his father stopped showing love or any other sort of affection after they lost his mother. But his boyfriend is different. He doesn't care about the rumors. Cole curls up next to his S.O. Zane feels warm, most likely from Cole's body heat. He can feel the nindroid's processor pulsate as he breathes out. It moves less irregularly than the standard human heart. Calculating. Predictable. Reliable. Zane had been there from the beginning. Cole just didn't see it. All those times Zane ran into fights specifically to help him, was it really just friendship? Or was it more than that? Did the ice ninja know what Cole felt? And did he-

Cole is jerked out of his thoughts by an ear-splitting scream. It sounds like Nya, only more intense. He quickly sits up in unison with Zane. They share a surprised look before racing up one level.

The Bounty can be sealed off in case of emergencies. The only parts accessible to them were the bedrooms, main meeting room (filled mostly with couches with a projector) and supply room at the lowest level of the ship, while the additional bedrooms, two kitchens, one primarily for making things which includes all the necessary appliances, the other filled with cutlery, dishes, silverware and a small table, a large dining room and lots of living space provided in the floor above. Fortunately, when they redesigned it, they added plenty of bathrooms and several rooms equipped with game consoles and TVs. The main deck, quarter deck, and everything else above were currently extremely difficult to get to. Kai also declared them off-limits.

Kai also heard her cries and ran out of his room and over to the group as everyone else charged in. Lloyd tripped over Jay who was just getting up from the floor. They all stared as he hit Morro, who fell to the side, releasing Nya, who immediately ran to the window...

AN: How is it? I'm considering changing a few plot points. It would make it a lot better, but it would require more effort. I'm pretty lazy, so it's actually a valid question. On a totally unrelated note, I've got 'Havana' by Camila Cabello and 'I want to Live' by Skillet stuck in my head, so yeah. Fun. I'm just glad I don't have worse things stuck in my head.
