Day 4: The Troubles With Everlasting Friends

John's Perspective-

"You had sex with a guy you knew for what? two days?"  Lafayette whispred, not wanting to belive it. I nodded silently.
"Bitch it took me months before I got Herc in bed, isn't this going a bit too fast?" Hercules didn't sat anything, too suprised to do so.

I couldn't help but shrug. Why were they acting like this? Nothing bad happened.

We were in class right now, Alex was in art and we were in Theater. Right now the teacher was passed out with HotPockets beside him. So the class was talking amongst themselves.

"I don't know Laf, I've never been in love before, plus he really does care about me."

Lafayette gave a hesitant smile, and nodded.

I know I sound like those teenager girl on TV saying, "Daddy i love him." But I truly could feel that our love was stronger than that. He does care for me and he does love me, he told me millions of times, and there was something about him that just. . . that just stood out.

"Just be careful, something about him rubbs me the wrong way." Herc confessed.

"Does anyone else think he's too hot?" He added. Lafayette rolled his eyes, "Here we go again!"
"No Laf I'm not flirting, I just think his looks are unrealistic, he's too cool to be wanting to hang around us an-"

"So? JD is extremely sexy." I tell him, a bit annoyed. Why can't just accept the fact I'm dating a hot guy? Lafayette seems to be okay with it now.

"JD has faults, his baggy eyes and slouchy posture, JD acts like a human. A weird human, but a human. Alex doesn't seem normal."

I hide my fury as I ask, "What, is Alex not human enough for you?"

"No that's not- just- John please trust me just stay away from Alexander, he can't be trusted-"

"Herc why can't you accept the fact that someone loves me? You look at me and see someone who probably will be alone for the rest of their life. Alex makes me happy with every little word he says to me. Yeah alright he's hot, but does it matter? He's sweet and kind and loving and he treats me as if anyone day will be our last. Tell me why cant you accept that." My eyes sting but I refuse to cry.

Finnaly something good happens in my fucking pitiful life and Herc wants me to stop? Like hell I'll stop.

"If you care about your safety then by god listen to me and break up with him." It was clear Herc was persistant with me not seeing Alex.

Lafayette placed a hand in Hercs shoulder, "Mon Cheri, please be reasonable. John isn't your son, he's your friend and friends support each other no matter what. Alex isn't that bad, amour. . ."

Herc looked at me with pleasing eyes, "I'm telling you John, Alex is part of something we-"

The bell rang and everyone, even the teacher, bolted out the door to lunch. Everyone except Herc, Laf, and I.

With a calm shaky breath I glared at Hercules.

"Look Mulligan, you are not my dad, you can't tell me Alex isn't a good person, because by God I will make you pay, don't talk me again."

And like that a strong friendship was torn two. Lafayette was torn between following me or staying with Hercules, but in the end he stayed with Hercules.

I made my way to my lunch table and sat down, not bothering to get any food. Herc is too protective at times, but he needs to learn that I can stand on my own.

A few minutes passed and I saw Alexander walk over and sit by me. "Hello darling." He grinned and kissed my cheek. I smile weekly.

"Hey babe, what's wrong?" He asks, his eyes filled with worry.
"Herc and I had an disagreement about you. He doesn't trust you, he thinks you're not human or something." I chuckled thinking it as a joke, but I notied Alex wasn't laughing.

"Are you okay Alex?" I place a hand on top of him. "Oh! Um, nothing . . . why would Herc think that?" Alex seemed tense for a second.
"I don't know, I guess you're too handsome or something, so when will you pick me up tomorrow?"

Maybe it was for the best I changed the subject, Alex looked a bit angry.

"Jake's party starts at 7 so I'll pick you up at 6 so we can just walk around the park or something." His brown eyes came back to their calm hue. It's funny. If you look close enough his eyes seem a bit. . .red.

I mentally slap myself, I'm just letting Herc's Conspiracy Theory cloud my mind. But now that I think about it, could there be something wrong with him?
