Day 4: Something's Wrong With Him

Lafayette sat down in the chair next to Hercules, not facing him. The Irish man kept talking to him either way.

"Laf, you belive me right? You know something is off with Alexan-" he was cut of by the angry French man slamming his hands of the table.
"Oh just give it a rest Herc!" Laf yelled at his boyfriend's in annoyance, taking Herc by surprise.

He never screamed, not ever, not even if he was furious.

"Fine I get it! Alexander's hot, wanna rub it in?! I see how you drool at him, if you like him so much then just, then just- Argh!!!" Lafayette stood up in a flash and began to run to the door, but was stopped by Hercules, who held onto Lafayette's sleeve. "No, it's not like that I swear, he's just weird, in a inhuman way."

"And? Who cares! Alexander seems sweet, we have math together and he is like an edgy puppy, he's a good kid with the looks of a male Aphrodite, I'll admit it, but his looks doesn't mean anything. Please Herc, for me. I can't take you fawing over another guy like that. Not after last time."

If you listened closely you could hear Hercules's heart shattering. He never ment to make Lafayette worry so much, especially not about him dating another guy, no. Not after last time.

Last time Lafayette was going to a party, he didn't know Herc would be there, in fact Hercules said he was too sick to go, so it was only John and himself. Whiles looking for licor, Laf caught Hercules snogging with another guy in glasses. Heartbroken Lafayette broke up with him, a few months later after Hercules's nonstop apologizes and tears, they made up. But that didn't mean there wasn't a tear in their relationship.

"I'm sorry, Lafy. I didn't mean to upset you, it's just Alex-"

By the annoyed look of Lafayette's face, Hercules stopped talking. Lafayette pushed Hercules slightly, "Just stop, just. . ." Lafayette sighed, and walked out without another word to Hercules. Leaving the poor Irish man to sulk in a chair, just him and his thoughts.

Something's weird with Alex, i know that for sure, but I can't bring it up because I'll loose Laf, just like I lost John. I can't loose anymore friends, because their all i have, or had.

The only possible reason that could solve this was-

Hercules pondered for a solid 5 minutes before jumping up from his seat.

Spy! I'll spy on him! I'll prove to John and Lafayette I'm not just being crazy! Oh Alexander, you're about to get fucked up.

Alexander's Perspective-

The rest of the school day went by fast and I just dropped John at his house, now I was just walking to town, why? Because I can. Plus I needed time to think.

That Hercules guy is getting suspicious, fucking prick can't leave well enough alone, I won't hurt him, no, he's Johns friend, but I wish I could just choke him. I walked to the bookstore that John and I went for our first date and I bought a historical book, a present for John, and then I made my way to the Old Maple Park.

I went behind a tree and just like that I was a demon again, invisible to the human eye. Oh it felt good to have my wings and horns back. I spread my wings wide and sprang into the air like a jet, I flew around town a few times; stretching my wings muscles. My horns were somewhat tiny, but it's the wings that really matter.

After a while I decide to head out to John's house.

When I arrived I noticed John's friend Lafayette was there, they seemed to be working on a project. Since I couldn't do anything I say down in the corner, Adrienne came flying through the window minutes later.

She was panting and I was surprised to see her beautiful white wings were smeared with blood. I lgnored the aroused feeling inside me to ask her what happened.

"Oh Alex it's dreadful, there was a fight between a Terrorizer and a Dammed, apparently it got to the point that an Angel had to come in between. And-and they died. The Terrorizer killed the Angel. But the Angels are blaming the Dammed. Who killed the Terrorizer on instinct. There's mass killing from both sides and I just- I don't know what to do."

Adrienne had tears of frustration as she ran her fingers into her long hair, "A-alex you have to come help me, if anymore demons or angels die the world will be unbalanced, Alex I beg you!"

I stared at her as if she was crazy.

No way in my life was I going to risk myself to die somewhere away from John. No, I've planned my death. When the sun rises on the seventh day I'll be beside John on his bedside, kissing his temples while tearfuly saying I loved him. That's how I choose to die. Not fighting some battle far away. I shook my head. "No." This was final.

"No?" Adrienne looked at me incredulously, like she couldn't believe what she was hearing. "No? Are you insane? Are you that insensitive to care for another life-"

"I'm not going." I grit my teeth.

"You asshole, innocent Angels are dying-"

"I'm a fucking Demon you bubblegum bitch, I don't have feelings, I don't give a shit about some lives, you don't give a shit about the Demons, so why should I care about the Angels???, yeah call me whatever you want! I'm not risking it." I yelled at her, my wings raising with the tone of my voice. "I FUCKING  RISKED MY LIFE FOR JOHN! IM DYING IN THREE DAYS FOR HIM AND I'M GOING TO BE AT HIS SIDE TILL THAT MOMENT, YOU HEAR ME?"

I was breathing heavily. I saw how Adrienne cowered in fear and I felt powerful. This was me. A hotheaded, insensitive, asshole, with no heart. I didn't care if I was being selfish. Love makes you selfish and that's a fact.

"Fine." She whispered. "I'm not going either."

I didn't question her.

In fact I didn't care what her reasons were.

All I did was sit by John's side and listened to him talk to Lafayette about me. I smiled at him.
This was worth it.
My eyes stung.
It was all worth it.
I left my home.
It was worth it.
I'm going to die.
It was all worth it.
My life is over.
Was it really worth it?
