Sarah POV-

I wiped the tears away from my face, and slid the ring onto my finger once again.

What do I do now? I have to live all alone... Unless I pick up my brothers.

I walked out of the hospital, and felt the cool summer air whip past me. I looked all around for my car, but none of them look familiar.

It'll take a couple of days for you to completely heal. I remember the doctor said.

I sighed at the thought, then started to walk along the sidewalk. At least I remember what my house looked like. It's a light yellow with black shudders, and a white door.

I took two left turns, crossed the street, then a right turn, and I then found myself on my front doorstep. I took in a big breath, then turned the door knob.

I roamed around the house, trying my best to memorize everything that I used to know. After the downstairs, I walked up the stairs, tracing the railings with my fingers as I took each step.

I ended up in my room, and I saw my bright pink bedspread, lights along my walls, and a mahogany dresser in the corner. I walked over to the beautiful dresser, and saw all of my knik-knacks I've been keeping there in a messy order. As I scanned the items, I saw earrings, necklaces, rings, and then my eyes came across a picture.

The picture was of Ross and I at the beach. I had my sunglasses on and my arms wrapped around his waist. I was looking up at him, and he was looking down at me.

I felt tears surface my eyes, and then I felt my hand touch the cold ring upon my finger. I looked down at it, and watched a tear fall on top of the 'R'.

"Just come back to me," I mumbled to myself. "Quick."

I walked back down the stairs, wiping my cheeks with my long sleeved shirt. I made a cup of hot cocoa, then sat down on my couch, my phone in the other hand.

I took a sip, then I felt my phone vibrate. It was just who I wanted to talk to. Ross.

I answered swiftly, then put it up to my ear. "Ross!" I nearly shrieked into the phone. "Hey baby! Just about to board the plane." He replied. "Alright. Well, I miss you already." I said. I knew he was smiling because of his response, "Same here. It's not the same without you."

I nodded even though he couldn't see me. "I love you." I said, "Be careful."

"I love you too, I will." He replied. "Come back soon." I said before he could hang up. "Don't worry, I'll come back as soon as I can." He said. I smiled. "Ok, bye I-" I started, but he cut me off. "Sarah, can you do me a favor?" He asked. "Anything." I replied. "Wait for me. I know it's a long time., but you have to. I don't know what I would do without you." He said sincerely.

I looked at my ring that was pressed against the mug in my hand. "I think that's the only thing you don't have to worry about." I replied. "I'll miss your voice for a year and a half." He chuckled. "I know, I'll miss yours too. Now I'll let you go, you have a plane to catch." I said with a smile. "Okay, love you." He said. "I love you too." I replied, then hung up the phone.
