Stolen Heart

Chapter 22

Sarah POV-

I pulled up into the Lynch's driveway, and quickly took out my phone. I saw notifications from Instagram with my user tagged in pictures and comments. I looked through pictures and comments that were hateful, but some were sweet.

I went into te iMessage app then went into Ross's contact. "In the driveway, be right in." I texted him, then got out of the car and walked to the door.

I lifted a fist so I could knock on the door, but the door swung open before I could do anything. Of course, Ross answered.

He walked up to me and embraced me into the tightest hugs he has ever given me. I giggled at his sweetness. "I've missed you." He mumbled into my neck. "You just saw me an hour ago though!" I said with a chuckle. "So you didn't miss me?" He whimpered as he pulled away from our hug. I touched his cheek. "Of course I did. Every second away from you is like torture." I said. He smiled, then kissed me gently.

We walked through the door, and I heard Ross close it behind us. "Where's riker?" I asked. "Upstairs. Take it easy on him." He said. I nodded my head. "I tried to with Ashley, but she's at home balling her eyes out." I said with a sigh. "Ya, she thinks she was used by riker just to get to you." He said. My mouth dropped. "How can I take it easy on him now?" I said, almost yelling. "Hey, I know she's hurt but riker is too." He said. I nodded. I didn't want to get into a fight with him. Not right now.

"Wish me luck." I said after I kissed his cheek, then walked up the stairs to Riker's room. I took a deep breath, then knocked on the door.

"Rik?" I said softly. "I don't want to talk to you." He said sternly. "Please?" I whined. "Fine." He groaned, then I opened the door and walked in.

"Hey, I need to talk to you about something." I said. I saw him roll his eyes. "I can see that." He said. I groaned. "Riker please just, listen!" I said, almost yelling.

I sat down next to him on his bed. "Why would you do that to my sister?" I asked. "Do what? Use her?" He asked. "So you did use her?" I asked. He nodded his head. "I liked her, but then I lost feelings every time I saw you." He said. "I'm flattered but you still shouldn't have hurt my sister." I said. "But that still doesn't mean you hurt me!" He said, starting to yell. "I'm sorry! I didn't know I did." I said, yelling just as he was. "Didn't know." He mocked, getting up from his seat.

"I seriously didn't!" I said, getting up too. "Listen, if you're going to be this way, just leave." He said. "Me? I'm acting like a jerk?" I asked. He nodded his head. "Oh I'm sorry are you listening to yourself?"

He rolled his eyes. "You know what, Stop!" He screamed in my face. I saw him lift up his fist. Is he really going to hit me?

I braced myself for impact by closing my eyes. But as moments passed, I opened my eyes to find riker lowering his hand. "Riker I-" I started to say, but his lips crashed into mine.

I pushed him off me. "I can't believe you." I spat. I marched out of the room, but I heard his voice before I slammed the door behind me. He said, "I love you." I stopped after I closed the door. I turned around, and my hand hovered over the door knob, until I walked down the stairs and back to Ross.

I just thought about what riker said the whole way down the stairs. I couldn't even hear my footsteps thump down the steps.

I stopped as I reached the bottom, and I stared blankly at Ross. He stared back. "How did it go?" He asked. I shook my head and I felt tears well up in my eyes. I couldn't hold them back anymore, I let out a loud sob.

I covered my face with my hands, and I felt his warm arms go around me. He lifted me and I wrapped my legs around his waist. He walked over to the couch and set me down. He move me over to his lap, and I cried into his chest. I don't think he knew what to do, considering he didn't say anything. He just rubbed his hand up and down my back.

"Let's talk later." He said. I nodded my head. What's going to happen to me?

Riker broke me. I'm broken.
