Stolen Heart

Chapter 34

Ashley POV-

I wiped my tear stain cheeks as I walked out of the house. My brothers left. They are gone forever. I plan to find them though, and take them out of foster care.. But maybe they might find another family they like better.

I wrapped my arms around my body as I felt the cold summer air brushed past me. I can't believe it's almost time to go back to school again.. Sarah doesn't go to school. She has been taking care of us, so she takes online school when she can, which is never.

I knocked on the door, waiting for Riker to fling it open and wrap his strong, loving arms around me, and hold me forever. I love him, but I'm not sure about him.

The door was slowly opened, and I found Riker, standing there with tear chained cheeks. "Oh my god, what happened?" I asked as I stepped closer to him. "I thought you were going to leave me." He said sadly. I placed my hand on his cheek. "Oh Riker," I said, "I would never leave you."

He shook his head, "But you were." He said. "But I didn't!" I said with a small chuckle. He looked at me and gave me a weak smile. I leaned in for a kiss, but shouts made me pull away.

"Ok, so you just randomly go out with this Brynn girl?" Chelsea said as she trotted down the stairs behind Rocky. Wow I haven't seen her in forever. Well, that's only because she got an apartment of her own a couple days ago. I wish we hung out more, but that will happen soon. Rocky ignored her.

"Rocky listen to me!" She shouted as she turned him around. "Fine. I'm all ears. What do you want?!" He snapped. I saw tears fall down her face. "I love you rocky. And you chose Brynn over me. How do you think that makes me feel? We've been hanging out a lot, texting a lot, talking walks together through the park.. What more do you want?!" He interrupted her words with a kiss. She seemed shocked at first, but then soon melted into it.

"I love you too, give me time to think." I heard him say. She nodded. "I'll tell you in.. 2 days. If I don't call you in that days time, then it's not meant to be." He explained. Her happy expression faded, and turned into a sadder one. "Ok." Was all she said, then left the house, not even realized I was spying on her in the first place.

"Well that went well." Rocky said as he looked at us. I let out a fake laugh. "Yeah.. Well, I'll let you two talk." I said, "Bye Riker.."

"Wait!" He yelled as he grabbed my wrist before I could leave. "What?" I asked. "Will you do me a huge favor?" He asked. I nodded. "Anything." I said. "Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked. I smiled and rolled my eyes. "If you think the answer is no," I said. "You're crazy." I said with a smirk, then walked out of his house, not removing the smile from my face.
