This is the final battle where Trish meets Dr. Borg.  And in this four part battle, you will discover an even worse secret about her past, and the nightmares of the future.

Ever since the generals were destroyed, things were much easier.  There were no attacks from the scattered cyborgs, so the days were spent preparing for the day of the Doom Dimension.  Training was done daily with different exercises, of course.  One day Sensei sent them on a mission to bring back the leaf of a rare tree from the highest peak in all of Ninjago.  It was difficult for the winds and the steep height were a deadly hazard.  When they had finally retrieved the leaf and brought it to Sensei, he had quickly vanished into the house and returned shortly with a brand new type of tea he had made from the leaf.  Sensei Wu would have them do contests to see who could reach the top of the highest tree in Ninjago and grab the flag without being knocked out by the others.  While the ninja were training for the Doom Dimension, Nya and Dr. Julien were working and testing on what would happen once they entered the dimension.  So far they could not expect too much information until that day.
“You guys need to check out the new vehicle I made.  It will get you in and out of the Doom Dimension with the special device planted in it.”  Nya led the ninja into Lloyd’s garage where she and Dr. Julien were working on the Ul-Tra Sonic Rader II.  The gang entered the garage where Dr. Julien put the finishing touches on the large powered engine.  After the hood of the vehicle was closed, the ninja saw the blue flamed, red vehicle that resembled the Ul-Tra Sonic Rader.  It was fully remodeled and highly updated with new gadgets.
“This is so cool!”  Jay yelled joyously as he leaped towards the vehicle.
“Sweet, there’s even a leaver to de-attach the vehicle and make part of it fly.”  Trish exasperated as she examined the controls of the Ul-Tra Sonic Rader II.
“How did you know that’s what it was for?”  Kai asked in surprise as he saw that she was pointing at the lever that his sister had made for their race at Ninjago Ball Run, “When I first saw it I had no idea what it was for.”
“Oh, I guess I just know my controls,” Trish shrugged her shoulders with a half-hearted smile.
“Hey, Trish, remember that story I told you about the leaver that made this vehicle once fly?”  Zane said from the other side of the Ul-Tra Sonic Rader II.
“Ugh, man!”  Trish said and slapped her leg with aggravation.  Kai laughed at Trish’s stare of anger towards Zane who caught her in her boasting.  “What did I say?”  Zane looked around with wonder on his face.
“Wait, there are only five seats,” Lloyd did not need to say more to the ninja as he examined the vehicle.
“It should.  Only five of you are going to the dimension.”  Misako walked into the garage.
“Well, I know I’m going,” Trish stated obviously.
“So who is going to stay?”  Zane asked as the ninja looked around.
“Lloyd will have to stay.  He is the Spinjitzu Master still, and his prophecy is to save and protect Ninjago only.  The rest of you will go to the Doom Dimension and end Dr. Borg,” Misako said bluntly as she gazed at the ninja.
“Yeah, I’ve been thinking about that,” Trish rubbed her neck nervously.  “Do I really have to kill Dr. Borg?”
“Yes,” Misako said as she nodded her head, “it is vital that he is eliminated for good.  He was spared once and made a mess of things; we cannot let him go free again.”  Trish shook her uneasiness and nodded with determination.  She knew there was no other way, and she also knew that her mother would have wanted her to.
“She would have been proud,” Kai’s words startled her as he spoke compassionately.  He laid his hand on her far shoulder reassuringly.
“Yeah, and if you fail, your next generation will just fulfill it,” Jay said shaking his hand at her.  “No pressure.”
“Come, quickly, there is an attack in the center of the city.”  Sensei Wu and Garmadon led the gang and ran to the Square of Ninjago.  There they saw the cyborgs attacking.  The amount was so great, greater than they had ever seen before. Cyborgs filled the streets and were crowded upon the roofs of homes; the cyborgs that raided the nearby stores were all squished together as they struggled to get back onto the packed streets.  Cyborgs covered the streets and sidewalks as they stormed through the city.
“Where did they all come from?”  Cole kicked a Metalfang and raced for the next as the ninja fought.
“A portal was seen here, not too long ago, letting cyborgs from the dimension into Ninjago.”  Garmadon grabbed one of the cyborgs spears and threw him over his head, keeping the spear in his hand to use as a weapon.
“We have to get the cyborgs away from the city.  Keep them in the Square where they can not hurt anyone,” Sensei Wu lectured earnestly.
The ninja herded the straying cyborgs from the city into the Square where they tried to destroy them all.  “There is a control panel in every cyborg’s metal brain that can dismantle them.  If you can get them un- functional, we can finish this battle.”  Zane remembered how his father had showed him this flaw in Dr. Borg’s invention.
The ninja had to work in groups of two to dismantle each cyborg.  Zane froze the cyborg so he could not move as Cole found the loose panel in the cyborg’s head to shut it off.  He found the switch and flicked it which made the cyborg fall into a deep sleep.  Trish was corning some cyborgs with her wind as Jay jumped down from the roof of the building above and landed on them in the small alley.  Trish hurriedly dismantled the cyborgs than high-fived Jay’s outstretched hand.  Kai and Lloyd had their backs to a lamppost and were surrounded by cyborgs with no way out until Kai swung himself around as he hung on to the lamppost, knocking down the cyborgs.
“If they thought that attack was supposed to destroy us, they were so wrong,” Jay contemplated with satisfaction.
“No, but I think that was only a distraction,” Zane stared into the sky with fear and worry.  He then jumped on to an abandoned vehicle and leaped for the top of a building where he was able to view over the city.  The other ninja joined him and saw what he had spotted.
“Oh no,” Trish whispered in fear.  A huge fleet of planes and jets were soaring near Ninjago City with the cyborgs manning the crafts.  The fleet was huge and the cyborg army was colossal.
“We need to destroy those planes before they bomb the city.”  Sensei Wu announced after the ninja reached the ground and told them of the fleet.
“Anyone have an idea on how to even reach them?  They’re high in the air and we don’t have any way to reach them.”  At Jay’s words, the dragons appeared and a smile formed on the ninjas’ faces.  “Everyone likes to just prove me wrong today!”
“I’m going to fly over them.  When the planes are destroyed the cyborgs will jump out and try to land on the surface, make sure they don’t.”  Lloyd leaped on to the dragons and flew off.
As Lloyd destroyed the planes and jets with the dragons, Trish was figuring out what to do to prevent them from reaching the ground.  “I’m going to create the tornadoes.  I need Cole and Kai to each get inside one of them.  When Lloyd destroys the ships, we are going to stop the cyborgs from parachuting to the ground.”  Cole and Kai nodded as Cole gazed at the rest, “Jay, we’re not going to be able to reach all the ‘bots in time to stop them, so I need you, Zane, Nya, and the cyborgs to stop them.”
“We’re helping too.”  Misako, Sensei Wu and Garmadon reached the others as they talked over the plan.
Kai and Cole followed Trish as they jumped on to the buildings again.  After Trish leaped from the last building, her eyes began to glow as her full potential was shown.  Three tornadoes formed from the air.  Kai and Cole each jumped into one and fought back the cyborgs that had escaped their burning planes as Lloyd destroyed them.  The dragons were destroying the planes with their elemental powers too.  Trish was still at her full potential as she kept Cole and Kai floating in the tornadoes as they destroyed the planes.  It took her full concentration to keep the ninja and herself afloat in the air that she was vulnerable to crashing air ships.  Kai and Cole took it into their hands to protect her at all costs which meant even letting a few cyborgs reach the ground.  That’s where the others helped.   Jay, Zane, Nya, Sensei Wu, Misako, Garmadon and the cyborgs were the ones that destroyed the ones that got past Kai and Cole.
The ninja were tired and worn from the endless fighting.  The fleet just kept coming and growing.  It seemed that it would never end.  The dragons were tired from flying in circles, so Lloyd flew them to the ground where the others met him.
“Lloyd, what’s wrong?”  Misako ran to her son and stared into his eyes with desperation.
“The dragons are tired and I can’t see where the fleet ends.  It looks as if the city may be taken.”  All sign of hope was lost from Lloyd’s eyes.
“Trish, Kai, and Cole are still up there!”  The others looked towards the sky at the tornadoes that Trish had formed.  Because Lloyd and the dragons had stopped shooting down the planes, they were pressuring Trish, Kai, and Cole.  All the planes came crashing down on Trish, and because she could not defend herself, they broke her concentration and the tornadoes began to collapse.
“They’re going to fall!”  Sensei Wu said frantically, “Lloyd, you need to catch them.”
With Lloyd’s powers, he was able to catch the falling three and bring them to the ground.  Cole and Kai stood up automatically and reached down to assist Trish.  She stood with the help of Cole and Kai.
“There’s too many of them,” Cole said softly in defeat, “We have to evacuate everyone and leave before the cyborgs kill us all.”
“But we can’t give up,” Trish recuperated fast and spoke boldly to the ninja, “this is our home, this is the world that we have dedicated ourselves to protect.  We can’t just say that we tried, but in the end there was too many of them,” Trish declared with strength as she let go of Cole and Kai’s support.  Her gaze made the ninja burn with courage.  “We’ve prepared for this, we trained for this day, and I am not about to let all that effort go to waste.  I trained my butt off preparing for this day and I’m not wasting that trouble.  This is day of the Doom Dimension; this is the final battle.  I will fight with my mother’s honor to this cause, but will you fight alongside mine.”  It was not a question as much as it was a declaration of where she stood on the matter, and the ninja were going to stand right next to her no matter what.
“If this is the day of the Doom Dimension, we need to get there to stop Borg,” Kai exclaimed.
The Ul-Tra Sonic Radar II then appeared with Dr. Julien in the front seat, “I thought you would need this.”  He leaped out and confronted Zane in a warm hug, “Take care, my son.”
“Don’t worry, father.  We will be back soon.”  The five ninja seated themselves inside the vehicle and gave their good-byes to everyone.
“Take care, Kai,” Nya quietly said to Kai and gave a meaningful wave to Jay who sat in the back seat of the Ul-Tra Sonic Radar II.
Trish sat comfortably at the controls and figured that the large, red button must be the one that would transport them to the dimension.  It was just a guess; and a lucky one.  Lloyd walked up to her, “You feeling up to it?”  His gaze looked into her face as she slowly gazed upward.
“Honestly—not entirely, but I know what must be done.  And I know that when the time comes to end this tyranny that I will do whatever it takes.”  Trish spoke bravely without hesitation but Lloyd could sense her fears of worry and failure.  He knew that he had once felt like that, but in the end, as she had said, he had done whatever it took to defeat the Overlord.
“Then I wish you luck,” Lloyd hollered out as the ninja all hopped into the vehicle and started the loud engines.
“Thanks for the gift,” Trish pressed the button and the portal that led to the Doom Dimension appeared and sucked them in, “but in the end there’s no such thing as luck.”  Trish’s smile faded into the portal and that was the last that Lloyd ever saw a smile during the days of the final battle.
