Chapter 5: The Finaly Battle-Part 3: Ninjago's Battle

        Bombs dropped every second on Ninjago City as the massive fleet of air ships flew over.  They could not reach the ships from the ground and from the air Lloyd and Nya unsuccessfully tried to destroy all the planes.  The situation of the battle was growing worse and worse every moment.  The sun had set as did the hope of the people of Ninjago to survive the fight.
     Lloyd fought back the surrounding cyborgs that encircled him in the air.  The planes had missiles and honing rockets that could lock on any moving object.  The only thing that could stop them was if Lloyd used his powers.  The dragons were growing weary and Nya’s Samurai suit was slowly running low on power.  She moved more slowly and her attacks were less accurate. 
     “We need to join the others on the ground.  They’ll need our help once the bombers hit the surface.”  Lloyd saw Nya’s relief as they descended towards where Garmadon, Misako, Sensei Wu, and Zane’s cyborgs were fighting off the cyborgs on the ground.  Bombs were exploding as the planes saw an opportunity to strike the city.
     Garmadon ran toward his son as the dragons flew to the ground.  “Son, what’s wrong?” 
     “We can’t stop them from here; we have to protect the people in the bunkers now.”
     The group retreated towards where the civilians of Ninjago City and the surrounding areas were evacuating to the bunkers.  They were created for when the city was attacked.  They were built after the incident with the cyborg army when they had recently burned Ninjago City. 
     Misako, Sensei Wu, Garmadon, Lloyd, and Nya made it just in time to the safety of the bunkers when a nearby bomb exploded.  They lifted their heads as they tried to look past the smoke.  People were close by when the bomb exploded and it looked as if someone was injured. 
     “We have to help those people,” Lloyd stood up after he had thrown himself to the ground as the bomb blew up.  “Nya, you and I should make sure that they are given a safe passage.”  Nya flew in her suit towards the civilians as Lloyd followed along. 
     “We’ll help them get here.”  Misako, Sensei Wu, and Garmadon raced for the helpless people as cyborg planes zoomed near, staking out their prey.  Nya jumped at them and smashed the planes to bits.  Lloyd and the dragons attacked the others planes that came close to the people as Misako, Sensei Wu, and Garmadon gave support to the few injured civilians.  They all traveled slowly towards the bunker but made it just in time as another bomb exploded.
     “Those bombs are coming to close for comfort.  I’m going to try to push them back.  Their forces are thinner in this sector, so it won’t be as hard.”  Lloyd scrambled from the dusty dirt, back on to the dragons with Nya right beside him in the Samurai suit.
     “We’ll stay here and take care of the wounded and any other travelers.”  Garmadon stared into his son’s eyes, “Be careful, Son.”
     “Don’t worry, Dad.”  Nya’s suit flew in the air next to the dragons that flew steadily towards the bombers.  The injured were stationed in lean-tos in the bunkers where they were being treated by doctors from the Ninjago hospitals.  Misako, Sensei Wu, and Garmadon ran around the bunkers making patients more comfortable as the doctors examined their injuries.
     The bombing continued as they surrounded the enclosed bunkers.  The bunkers were hidden secret shelters that provided safety for when the city was under attack. The bunkers could only be opened when a secret panel hidden on the base of a rock was opened and the button inside the panel was pressed. 
     Lloyd and Nya forced the cyborgs away from the bunkers and past the desert.  Finally they lost them in the Ninjago Lake where their planes short- circuited in the water.  They met back with Misako, Sensei Wu, and Garmadon at the bunker where they discussed where the others had gone.
     “I hope that Trish and the others are defeating Dr. Borg by now.  It would be nice to end all of this,” Lloyd pointed towards the window that was hidden behind a bush above ground where the city of Ninjago used to be.  The cyborgs had burnt Ninjago City to the ground and there was nothing left of it.  People in the bunkers were all depressed and saddened at the sight of their destroyed homes and businesses.  All that they had lived for was destroyed.
     “When you were stopping the Overlord, we had the same impression, but it all worked out, we got the city back to normal.  All that isn’t decided is if Trish will be able to defeat Dr. Borg,” Sensei Wu gazed at the destruction of the place that millions of people had called home.
     “She’ll be able to do it.  I just know it,” Nya reassuringly stated as Dareth and Dr. Julien walked towards them.
     “We heard about the others, I just hope that Trish can do it.”  Dr. Julien sat next to Sensei Wu while Dareth paced.
     “But what if she doesn’t?”  Dareth looked at everyone with impatience.
     “She has to,” Misako returned her worried gaze back outside the bunker, into the midst where she tried to imagine what was happening in the dimension.  “She has to.”
