Things can change in just a span of seconds, time is something which never stop nor it fail to surprise us with unexpected twist in our life. All think, wish if only they had a little control over it they can spend some more seconds it their paradise , hold someone near their heart for a little bit more like always , pause the time and spend hours watching the same person whom you called your home , ignoring the reality if only they could survive ,. And the list of "if" , "wished" and "hope" carries on.
"Mumma come na we will cut the cake it's so bigggg " I was busy in my own thoughts when Aaru came running towards me and with her caring daddy just behind him. I didn't replied instead looked at Aaru and manik , once I can never imagine manik in a perfect father figure role , may be I thought he will be ignorant towards her like every relationship in his life but I proved wrong , now when I looked at him I can see the genuine concern in his eyes for Aaru like a perfect father which is similar to my dad , Appa. He can be strict or judgemental in nature but he never failed as a father before.
" Chlo na mumma , I m waiting!! " My thoughts came to a halt with Aaru's constant nagging.
"Won't you tell Aaru what surprise you have planned for her , nandini??" Manik was the next who joined the conversation and I rolled my eyes , I know what exactly the surprise he is talking about. This man can never miss a chance to piss me off.
"Waoo surprise Hain ?? Chlo chlo" with just the mention of word called 'surprise' Aaru become full on excited to see what's waiting for her , she literally dragged me with her , well in this matter I can't speak against Aaru after all this habit is inherited from me only.
"You can give it a try" manik said matching my steps side by side following us.
" Try what? " I questioned. "The thoughts running over your head u know" he answered chuckling a bit. "You know I have seen you admiring me and Aaru from far , you never disturbed us but always made sure that no one other interfere in. , I can see the same love and longing in your eyes which I had before , for Aaru when she was away from me , and now I can see the same longing in his eyes too ,give him a chance nandini we don't know what tomorrow will bring for us , a bunch of roses or a path full of thrones" he added making me numb.
For a change he was right , I should be happy that at least Appa came to me , he is here with me and most importantly for me , he is my father and he has full right over me. I should be thankful that now finally my wait is over. My steps came to a halt with a sudden noice.
"Chachuuuu " Aaru exclaimed loudly making everyone turn towards her , "oye.... hoye... Main to mer gyaaa .... Someone is looking like a princess of Disney world " replied another overly excited person making all of us smile.
" Navu kha Hain ??? Or Mera chocolate or teddy ?? " Aaru's excitement was on it's pick seeing her favorite cabir chachu in front of her and her list of complains and gifts goes on n on.
"Can you spare some time for me young lady only if your possessive creature allow you so" a familiar voice reaches my ears which make me turn around and a big smile came over my face.
"Navyaa" I exclaimed hugging her in a second which she replied with equal enthusiasm. "For heaven's sake girls stop screaming like mad woman " manik shout but which was easy for both of us to ignore in a second.
