Long night

Some say,
"It's painful to wait for someone."

Some say,
"It's painful to forget someone."

But the worse pain occurs
When you don't know
Wether to wait or forget.

Nandini's pov

I admired myself , the reflection looks so beautiful , for a change I can see a glimpse of Nandini Manik Malhotra on the mirror ,the old me the only thing which was missed was the vermilion. The thought only bring some unreasonable tears in my eyes. After composing myself I again concentrate on my work which was getting ready before 8 but unfortunately I m late.
The simple diamond earrings suited me the most I was busy in admiring myself when a tinny hand clutched my waist pulling me backwards.

"My dress is not red like yours , why ??" Aaru asked me hiding her face in my belly making me chuckle.
"Why ?? don't you like the dress ??" I asked very politely ruffling her hairs.
"Noo I liked it pr we should be matching matching naa ?? " She replied making small pouts.
" Ohh that's the problem Haan ?" I exclaimed and she hummed along.
"Look everytime we match our dress right but this time I thought why not papa beti do this matching matching things , humm?? " I asked and suddenly she started jumping around like a rabbit.
"Papa v white phn rhe ?? Matching matching?? "She asked being extra excited and I nooded my head.

The area looked so good the whole cruise was decorated with white and red balloons , the fresh white lilies were giving a fresh feeling like something good is going to happen. When I was busy in admiring the whole place a hand held my waist gently and pulled me close to the person.

"As I expected ,you look Devine , are you trying to kill me , Murty??" owner of the hands asked which undoubtedly turn out to be manik.

"Is it working??" Keeping all the hesitation away I asked directly looking into his eyes and for a change he didn't avoided having a eye contact.

"Since I first lay my eyes on you " he replied and all my sanity goes in bin , looking at him I forgot I m already late in my own daughters birthday and above all hundreds of people watching us ,the only thing exist at that time was the sincerity in his eyes and the unsaid promise he made me today.

"And me ?? " A sweet voice broke our moments "am I not looking like a little divine princess??" She further added.

"No ,you r not " manik replied and I saw the little eyes loosing the shine which that hold before.
"Cause you are the Queen Devine  goddesses , my baby " manik answered and picked Aaru up in his arms kissing her checks time to time.
"Look papa we are same same " with her tinny finger Aaru pointed manik's white jacket in which he looked nothing but a star. "Thank you" was all he replied and kissed her forehead.

"Umm aren't we getting late ??" I asked breaking their sweet moment. "Yaah let's go , it's going to be a long night " manik replied but before I could question him about the long night thing he held my hand and proceed towards the main venue.

Standing on  middle of the deck of the cruise I was wondering how come I never noticed the calmness of the sea , the little waves of water making a beautiful sound and not to forget the  brightly shining stars which decorated the whole universe and spread light.
"Beautiful" I mumbled to myself capturing the magnificent view in my eyes i moved forward but stopped in mid when a cold breath near my ear made me shiver.
"If I ask you something will you give me ?" His voice was so calm and yet cold.
"I think you forgot Mr Malhotra that it's your daughters birthday not yours " I said in a go and waited until he replied "It's sounds so good ".
"What sounds good?" I asked , I was clueless what he is taking about, "you ,calling Aaru my daughter" he whisper in sweet voice , "well that's the truth isn't it?" I asked raising my eyebrows and he simply nooded his head.
