"Are you sure about this?.." Thinking for a hot second you start to rethink your descion to run 11 laps. You look up at Zak seeing his happy expression fade rather quickly, not wanting to disappoint him you nodded. He smiled at you, patting your back and walking you to the track.

You take a deep breath, staring at the large indoor track in front of you. Zak grabs your shoulder, causing you to look up. "Now y/n don't push yourself too hard, i don't want you getting hurt okay? But do try your hardest..." You nod, he doesn't let you go though. He looks into your eyes with concern. "Are you sure about this?.." You laugh lightly. "I'm sure Zak. What could go wrong? Honestly.."

Despite your confidence, Zak could still tell you were nervous and was damn near close to stopping you. Though you acted as if you weren't sure what could go wrong, you actually knew fully well what could. Considering how you weren't particularly used to running a whole mile, there's a possibility you could lose consciousness or worse possibly be sore for weeks.

Your coach blows the whistle and off you go, jogging your way around the track thumbs pushed into your fist as you keep a steady rhythm. You hear Zak cheer you on from across the room, a smile spreading across your face. You've made it to 7 and exhaustion was calling your name, but due to how proud Zak looked, you couldn't stop, so you pushed on.

You've made it to lap 10 and you're almost at the imaginary finish line, your head is pounding and your face is drenched in sweat. Just as you made it to the halfway point, you felt yourself drift from consciousness to unconsciousness several times. Your body starts to slow down and you have a rough time controlling your body. You hear Zak screaming your name as you feel yourself fall over, the impact of your head on the floor making your ears ring violently. Your vision goes dark.

You wake up with your head on Zak's lap, a cold towel wrapped around your head and a warm hand rubbing your arm. Your eyes flutter open, Zak's chin is the only thing you see until you shift a little, causing him to finally look down. He smiles at you. "I'm so glad you're awake.." He helps you sit up slowly, you holding your head in pain. "I told you not to push yourself too hard.." Zak frowns, talking as quietly as he could due to your pounding headache.

You lean against the couches armrest. "I know but..i saw now proud you looked and I didn't want to disappoint you so..I pushed myself harder than I should've.." Zak's face got stiff. "I'm so sorry I made you do that. That wasn't my intention. And I would've been proud of you no matter what..I'll always be proud of you.." You smile at him, his hand resting on your thigh. "I love you.." He smiles back at you. "I love you."
