Finn's POV

It's been one week since Jack and I got back from school. One damn week living in this utter hell. The home wasn't what I remembered, it used to feel comfortable, it used to feel safe, it used to make me feel like I belonged, but now, now it just feels different, it feels like my life is crumbling down around me and there is nothing I can do to stop it.

Adam has been coming to the house every single day, and of course he ridicules me and Jack and tells us that we are worthless and that we are disgusting simply for being who we are. And the worst part, the worst part is that my mother, my own fucking mother just sits back and lets him call us these horrible names, she lets him do whatever he wants. He has never physically hurt either of us but his words sting, they create a wound that keeps festering, one that may never go away. And sometimes I think that's worse than any physical pain he could cause.

Christmas is only three days away, and I have never felt less spirited in my life. I thought it was only going to be me, Jack, and my mother on Christmas, but I was sorely mistaken. Adam will be there and I can guarantee that he will make the most magical time of the year a living hell for me and Jack. A time that's supposed to be filled with light and happiness spent with friends and family, ones that actually care for you, is going to quickly turn into a time filled with darkness and hatred, and that is making my winter break a nightmare, one that I can't wake up from.

Oh, and to top it all off I still have yet to buy Jack a Christmas present. He is really difficult to buy for. Every time I ask him what he wants, he shrugs and tells me nothing but like what type of boyfriend would I be if I didn't make his Christmas super special. I'm going to make sure that it is one that he will never forget.

December 22, 6:00AM

I woke up to the sound of my phone vibrating in my hand; I must have fallen asleep like that last night. I opened up my phone, quickly admiring my lock screen, a picture of Jack kissing me on the cheek, one of my all time favorite photos of us, before opening up my messages, it was a message from Sophia. Why the fuck is she texting me this early?

~~~
Sophia: Hey bitch! We're going to the mall! Just me and you.
Me: Wtf. Sophia, it's 6 AM.
Sophia: I know, the mall opens in an hour. You need to buy some presents for Jack and I wanted to help, so get your ass out of bed and meet me outside your house in 45.
Me: Fine. See you then.
So, I need to buy Jack a gift obviously but jeez it's so god damn early. Like, couldn't we go in like 4 hours or something. I silently cursed as I noticed that Jack was peacefully sleeping on my chest with his arm wrapped comfortably around my waist. He looked so precious, with quiet snores escaping from his slightly parted lips. I quietly moved his arm off of my chest and softly nudged his head so that he was lying on the pillow. He must have been really sleeping because he didn't even stir awake at all, instead he just curled up against the pillow and slept. I got up out of my bed quickly and changed into comfortable clothes, suitable for a morning of shopping. Before I left the room to finish getting ready, I decided that I would write Jack a note telling him where I was going.
Hey Jackie,
I went to the mall with Sophia, and I didn't want to wake you. She's going to help me buy you the perfect present baby. I know you told me not to get you anything but I have to make sure that my baby boy has the best Christmas ever. I love you so so so much and I'll be back soon. And if that dick Adam comes over, make sure to stay away from him. I don't want you to get hurt. I love you baby boy!
Love, Finnie xoxo
As soon as I finished writing the letter I placed it on the bedside table next to where Jack was sleeping and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead before quietly walking out of my room to prepare myself for the day. At 6:40 AM, I walked outside feeling the chill but over-all warm air of Los Angeles hit me in the face. I sat on my front porch and just waited for Sophia to arrive. Five minutes later, at exactly 6:45, Sophia pulled into my driveway in her new car and waved to me. I quickly jumped up and ran over to the passenger side of the vehicle before jumping in and buckling my seat belt.
"Ready to find the perfect gift?" Sophia asked as she pulled out of my driveway and onto the road.
"Absolutely."
A/N - Hey guys! So, nothing really happens in this chapter, it's kinda a filler chapter but I hope you enjoy. It was a lot of fun to write. I love all of you.
