Finn's POV
"So where shall we go first?" Sophia asked me as we walked into the mall at almost exactly 7 o'clock. I was still groggy from it being so early that I almost walked straight into the door.
"Um, I don't know. American Eagle? Jack loves their clothes."
"Sounds good to me."
We walked across the mall until we saw a sign that read American Eagle, and as soon as we walked in the store I got this weird feeling in my gut that something was off, that maybe I shouldn't have left Jack all alone in my house. I just shook off the feeling with a chill running down my spine and ran over to a rack of pastel colored sweaters and jackets. Almost immediately I saw the perfect light pink pull-over hoodie with Love written on the left-hand corner in cursive. It was so pretty and I knew that Jack was going to look adorable in it. And at least it would fit him, he always "stole" my clothes and wore them because they made him feel safe but they always ended up being way too big for him. They did make him look cuter than ever though, I've got to admit.
After another half hour of searching through various racks of clothes, with Sophia constantly picking stuff out and asking me if I thought Jack would like it, I decided to check out. Some of her choices were good, and others not so much. She surprised me, she didn't even look for any clothes for herself. She spent the entire time strictly looking for gifts for my lover. After checking out, we decided to head to a couple more stores where I found him some tight skinny jeans that I knew were really going to show off his cute ass and a nice leather jacket that he would look perfect in.
At 9 o'clock, I was starting to get tired of shopping so we decided to stop in one more store before heading out: the jewelry store. I knew the perfect thing to buy him. I ran up to the counter, with Sophia by my side, and looked over the rings until I found the perfect one. It was a simple metallic ring with small hearts etched around it. I asked the lady behind the desk if I could take a closer look at it. I instantly fell in love with it and knew that Jack would love it just as much. I decided to have her engrave my initials into it so that Jack would always have me with him and I hoped that it would serve as a promise that I would love him until my last breath on this Earth.
Once the lady finished engraving the letter FW onto the ring she placed it into a jewelry box and handed it over to me after I payed the rather hefty price.
"The ring for your girlfriend?" the lady asked me as I was turning around to leave.
"Actually, it's for my boyfriend," I replied simply, noticing a disgusted look appear on her face. I just rolled my eyes and took the box, walking toward the front door with Sophia.
"Fag," I heard the lady whisper under her breath which caused me to stop dead in my tracks. Instead of yelling at her like I so intended on doing, I turned away and flipped her off before walking to the car without looking back.
"You're such a savage Finn," Sophia said as we drove out of the mall parking lot.
"Tell me something I don't know," I replied and we both started laughing.
"So did you find everything you needed for Jack, I mean you bought a lot of stuff."
"Well, he is my baby boy and I wanted to spoil him. I just can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees the ring I bought him."
I smirked and looked out the window as I reached for my phone, which I realized I left on silent. As soon as I opened the screen I saw that I had two missed calls from Jack and a flood of text messages. I opened them up and felt tears forming in my eyes as I read the first few messages.

Jackie: I know you're shopping but can you please come home.
Jackie: It's an emergency.
Jackie: Idk what to do
Jackie: I miss you
Jackie: Finnie, he's gonna hurt me
Jackie: I love you

After that I stopped reading and started crying. It's only been three hours, what the fuck could have happened.
"What's wrong?" Sophia asked, concern lacing her voice, as she noticed that I was crying.
"We need to get back to me house now! Jack's in danger!" I screamed causing her to swerve in the other lane momentarily before regaining her composure.
"What?"
"Just drive faster!" I yelled, feeling my emotions build up inside of me. With that, we sped up and raced back toward my house. This is all my fault, I never should have left him.
~~~
As soon as we pulled onto my street, I knew that something terrible had happened. The first thing I saw was a parade of flashing light in front of my house. An ambulance, two police cars, and several other similar vehicles. My heart sank. All my fault. This is all my fault.
