MATTE
May looked so vulnerable as she sat in the passenger's seat next to me. She looked like a puppy that had lost its way home. She curled up in the seat like a kitten that had found a cosy cushion. Her hair was still in a ponytail which still gave her her innocent look.
She looked so vulnerable that I had to remove all negative thoughts from my mind.I had to exercise some self control and go against my policy for the first time in my life.  I decided that at this point in her life when she was going through whatever all she needed was some brotherly love.

MAY
I was seated quietly. I did not know what to say or do. I thought of thanking this generous guy who happened to be my crush but whenever I opened my mouth to say something, all that came out was nothing. My mouth somehow froze upon feeling the cool air that circulated around the car.  My speech was tied.  My legs felt numb that I could not change my position. All I could do is maintain my still position until we reached my street. At this point, I had to get out of the car before anyone could see me because that could cause a whole bunch of problems for me at home. I quickly got out of the car and left without saying thank you. I really wanted to thank Matte for his kind gesture but I could not find my voice.

KAREN
I noticed that my sneaky older brother had come to my school even though I told him not to bother coming. The thought of Maylander Peters then crossed my mind. I knew at once what he did that afternoon and felt sorry for the poor little girl. Mattelly J Rushford had a policy that he followed for the nineteen years of his miserable life. He never gave girls rides in his car but when he did, he somehow got a pay for that by making out with them. Who am I to blame? I'd say Matte really is my father's son. Daddy's genes really dominated in his two children. These thoughts were so loud in my head that I laughed helplessly for no apparent reason. The thought of my brother involving himself in a relationship or worse still falling in.... What's the word?..... Love? Yeah love, that thought just made me laugh even louder.

MATTE
I watched May leave in a hurry once again. I thought of the opportunity I had just missed but the thought of her vulnerable image flooded these negative thoughts. I felt good for helping this little girl. She was going to pay me one day either way I thought to myself as I reversed and headed home.
Before I could reach home, I remembered that I was running low on my daily drugs and I had to refill. I therefore made a stop by my dealer's spot and bought the necessities.
As I reached home, I was received by Karen's knowing look. I said defensively "What! " as she replied "I saw you at my school today even though I told you not to come". I told her that I had some business to take care of. She responded as she smiled while reaching for the bottle of alcohol in my hands " so who is the next target since you have ruined the poor girl's life? ". Struck at her question, I said helplessly than defensive that I did not do anything to her. Karen's eyes widened as she heard those words come out of my mouth. All she said was " I'll trade you Maylander Peters for a month's supply of this, agreed? no questions" as she raised her hand in the air. She said this while walking away because she and I both knew that her question was more of a statement as she knew that I was down for it.
