Settling in
MAY
My new driver's name was Sam. Sam was so jovial that he took his job as a hobby. Thats what I liked about him. We talked about a lot of things and in the process he told me about why he was driving as a job at such a young age as he was only twenty five. He mentioned that he became an orphan at a tender age and that he had to struggle his way through his life. As a result, he did not get the chance to complete highschool and go to university. This story of his made me feel pity for him and thankful that I had an opportunity to attend highschool and later on go to the university of my dreams.
One day as I was having my silent study time at school, I looked up and saw a guy's figure looking down at me. He was a really really tall guy with the height of a giraffe. His hair was long and wavy. How weird I thought because that was against the school rules. He wore a stud on his right ear. I must confess that was a really cool stud. It took my attention. His eyes were hazel with long eyelashes. His nose was the perfect shape as though he had been to surgery for it. His lips, oh his lips.. These captured my mind, body and soul all at the same time. They were a light colour that complimented his fair toned skin. I couldake out his muscle structure because he wore our school blazer just as I did. His lips then parted giving a warm, attractive, seductive smile. This must have been a practised move I thought to myself because he made my mind blank and my heart melted at once. I could smell his body spray from where I was seated. It was such an amazing scent that I could get used to. I was dumb struck that I just sat there staring helplessly.
He then opened his mouth and said, "hey, I'm Zack, Zack Rowland. I'm doing my final year this year and I have seen you around. Thought of saying hi". I replied with " I'm Maylander Peters, you can call me May. I'm doing my eleventh grade and I'm new here". We told each other how nice it was to meet the other as he left saying he would see me around then.
My mind was ringing bells of Definitely! Definitely! De-f-in-it-ely! It seems that I made myself a friend or rather my friend made me his friend. So confusing, my mind was still in a state of shock from the sight I just saw and what happened.
