MAY
I arrived at my new school on time. I liked my new driver already because unlike with my mum, I made a good first impression that I could get to school on time. He was so kind as to tell me that if I needed anything he was at my service. Well, maybe he was just doing his job.
My first day at my new school went well. I did not want to rush into making new friends. Or.... Not make any friends at all. I mean I was graduating the following year. I could handle being alone.
At exactly 3PM my classes ended and I headed for the parking lot. I found my driver waiting for me. He was so reliable.
That day or intact the many days that followed, I did not see my mum. It was as if I lived alone with the housekeeper, the chef and Ken. Yes, Ken was his name, the driver, my driver, Ken was his name.
Ken was always smartly dressed. He never made any jokes and was always about his business. He addressed me with so much respect and took me wherever I wanted to go without question. He was attractive and young. His looks displayed an age of about twenty one. I wondered what such a young man of his age was doing working as a driver. Although he was so young and our age difference was slight, he did not spend more than a minute looking at me and I wondered why. Wasn't I beautiful?... I know I was. I turned heads wherever I went but I wondered why I could not turn his. He could not spare more than a minute of his life to admire my beauty.KEN
Ms. Peters is so attractive, I thought to myself. Her voice is better than an angel's voice. Her body is so structured with curves in the right places. She is the kind of girl I would spend on. What am I thinking? She is off limits. Her mother is very rich that she does not lack anything. She does not even see anything else in in apart from her driver. More so I do not have any money to spend. I would rather clear these thoughts out of my head and focus on the job I came to do. Moreover, I have almost saved up enough for my college tuition. I will leave soon and won't have to see her again .MAY
One morning, I woke up and wenk through my daily morning routine. By the time I headed outside to meet Ken, so eager to see his handsome face, I was disappointed to see someone else standing by my personal car. Where in the world was Ken? Maybe he was sick or something. I wondered why I was not informed. This new driver was so talkative that I knew half his life story on my way to school and would probably know the other half on my way home from school. He told me that his name was Paul. He had a wife back home and two little kids. One was aged Five and the other aged Three. The older one was a boy while the other one was a girl. His wife was pregnant for their possible third child. Possible because she had experienced two miscarriages after the three year old and this worried him. He said a lot more after that that I did not hear because I zoned out as I hate talkative people. How I missed Ken so much. He wouldn't have been disturbing my peace in that manner.
When I knocked off from school I found Paul waiting for me in the parking lot. Atleast this guy was not all about irritating me. He could be reliable. As soon as I hoped into the car, I heard a shocking question. Paul asked me if I had a boyfriend. That must have been the most insulting question I had ever heard in my entire life. I just met this guy that day and he was already asking about my personal life. I did not want to hear anything about guys more so get involved with them. I therefore gave him an irritated look from his head to his shoe. After this look, I turned the radio on and sat quietly.PAUL
What did I do? Is it the question I asked? What did I say or do to deserve such treatment I thought to myself. She looked at me as thought I had insulted her entire generation. All she had to answer was a simple yes or no to my simple question. As the servant here all I could do was apologise as she gave me that look again and looked away. This girl had serious problems.MAY
Reaching home that day, I made it a point that I was going to leave my mum a note asking her to change my driver. This Paul guy was so irritating and so inquisitive. I could not handle being with such a human for most of my time. So I did just that hoping that my request would not be denied coupled with questions. I bet my mum was too busy for questions on such petty issues because the following morning I noticed that my driver had been changed. This one wore casual clothes and gave me a welcoming smile. He was tall with a fair complexion. He had the perfect whites and the perfect lips. His eyes glowed in a way that could make someone obey any command. His walking step had this energy to it that drew my attention. I had a feeling at once that I was going to enjoy the company of my new driver.
