MAY
Today after class I decided to walk home from school rather than my usual routine of getting on a bus.
As I was strolling and probably talking to myself I accidentally bumped into this muscular figure. I had to look up about a mile before I could reach his face. When I finally saw his face, it was a sight to remember, amazing grace. I could hear the sound of a sweet melody and the world came to a stop. His hair was perfectly made up in a fade. His eyes somehow glowed and shone the way to my heart. His lips were so attractive. He wore a blinging chain around his neck and I wondered why. I thought of the both us in a world alone....
While I was living that fantasy, his lips parted and he gave a sincere apology. He said a lot that I couldn't remember as my mind was focused on his features. All I could do is nod helplessly.
I finally came back to the real world and heard "... I'm so sorry". I then answered " no, I should be the one saying sorry I was absent minded and I did not see you there. "
We then walked past each other without saying anything more than apologies.
Angel from above is all I could think of. I spent the rest of the afternoon and probably the next few weeks fantasising about that stranger boy I bumped into.
At times I would be doing the dishes or cooking while thinking about him when my mum walks into the kitchen. She would say a lot of her usual commands but I wouldn't get a single word. All I could hear is "I hope you have taken note of all this and won't forget anything" at the end. All I would do is nod knowing clearly that I'm doomed to hell and back because I haven't heard a single one of her commands.
Stranger, stranger, stranger, I didn't even get his name or number or house address. I know I was being very stupid as to think that I could get all that information over bumping into him.
I helped myself try to forget him by putting it in my head that he probably has a girlfriend. I mean such a body and face without a girlfriend, that would be insane.
I walked home for the next few weeks using the same route hoping I would bump into him again. All these efforts were in vain and I started losing all hope until one faithful day I looked over at the basketball court that lay across the road. I saw this light shining so bright and the melody played once again. I knew at once that I saw my stranger guy. Sweat dripping as he aimed for the shoot. Basket! I shouted as he made one. All his team mates including himself looked across the road to see this insane person. They laughed so hard, I could hear their lungs pop. I even heard one of them say "It seems you have a fan" as he laughed even louder. I felt utterly embarrassed as I walked away as fast as I could.
