~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A week had passed by and I was finally able to go back to my normal routine without feeling the constant pain turning in my stomach.
Things with me and Blake were kind of awkward, especially when ever Tyler was around watching our every move suspiciously.
Louis still hadn't really returned from dad's place other than the one quick visit just to grab some of his things and take Stacey out on a date, so I guessed dad had probably set him up with his own room and everything.
Stacey and I were different. I called her a few times to talk to her about what happened, but she said she would just stop over when she wasn't so busy. I tried to keep myself busy during the week by going to the gym and getting my perfect body back after all those long days of just sitting in bed, trying to stay up so late to the point that I would exhaust myself so much, I wouldn't be able to have any nightmares.
Brad's face was all over the news, and his funeral was said to have happened a few days ago, but none of us really cared to show up or even talk about it.
Tyler was off doing gang business, but with Louis not being around, Blake took his place and went out with Tyler some days doing god knows what. I was afraid to ask.
Blake and Tyler left the house earlier this morning without telling me where they were going. I just woke up, and they were gone. Tyler left me a TXT message saying they went out and to call If I needed anything. He was giving me a lot of slack lately since the Brad incident, and we never really got around to talk about it, or calling mom like he said we would, which was fine by me.
I stood in the bathroom looking at myself in the mirror. My brown hair had gotten really long and was starting to get soft curls from putting it up in a bun so much when my hair was wet. I looked in the mirror for a while before deciding I wanted to try something new with it.
Jumping up and going through my shelf's of semi-permanent hair dye colors me and Stacey used to buy every week, I came across a tear blue that I haven't even used yet. I grabbed a bleaching kit that had been half used and started going to work.
I separated my hair so that half of it was up, leaving a small bottom section of my hair down to bleach. After I washed the bleach out, leaving my hair a pale blonde-white color, I started putting on the bright light-blue-tear color and left it on for a long time before washing it out in the shower. The color that came out was everything I had hoped it would be. It popped out when I put my hair over my shoulders, and would really be viewable when ever I put my hair up in a ponytail or bun. It was just what I needed to boost my mood. I skipped around the house waiting for my hair to dry while thinking of things I wanted to do today. After changing into some tight shorts and a lacy purple tank top, I started putting on makeup, winging out my eyeliner like usual and putting my hair in a braid going off to the side to show-off my new hair. Grabbing my phone, I started looking through my contacts to see who would be willing to hangout with me today. My thumb hovered over Stacey's contact number and I stopped myself. She would call me when she was ready. I scrolled some more and get guilty when I saw Marks number. Mark was one of my best guy friends before we had started hooking up for fun, I really missed talking to him. My finger pressed the send button before I even knew what I was going to say. The phone rang a few times before going start to voicemail.
~*"Hey Mark, it's Scarlett… I'm really sorry if your mad at me… but I was just sitting alone at home, and was thinking of you… I really miss just talking to you and I was wondering if maybe you missed me too? I'm not sure if you ever even really want to see my face again or not.. but if you do, I'm here if you want to talk about what happened or whatever so…. guess I'll talk to you later.. or not."*~
I hung up the phone and made my way down stairs into the kitchen to grab a snack, settling on some seedless grapes on the bottom shelf. I grabbed a chair and sat down at the table, when I noticed my pills were across from my on the counter top under the kitchen cabinets. Blake hadn't gave me as many pills as the doctor prescribed, and there were still a lot of them left in the bottle just incase the pain continued over the week. My mind went numb just looking at them. The stool scraped the floor from under me as I got up to grab the pill bottles and look at the dosage amount. There were these small blue pain pills that I was only supposed to take when I was in severe pain, 1 every 5 hours. The red ones said to take 2 every 3 hours, then a few big white antibiotic meds that were pretty much useless to me. I threw the white ones out after taking 3 medium sized red pills while stashing the rest of the them in the drawer of my bedside table before going back downstairs with my cellphone in hand. My legs were beginning to get tired so I turned the T.V onto MTV and laid down on the couch for a while. The T.V started swaying back and forth along with the rest of the room as my vision got a little blurry and my eyelids felt heavier and heavier as I dozed off into a deep state of sleep.
When I woke up my head felt fuzzy and I couldn't get the room around me to stop spinning. I blinked a few times and searched for my cell phone to see what time it was. It was on the hardwood floor, flashing a small notification light. After picking it up, I realized I had slept for over 6 hours straight, sleeping pretty much the whole day away. My phone also showed me I had a missed call and voice message from Mark. I typed in my password and pressed my phone to my ear to hear the message while I walked carefully into the kitchen to find something to eat.
~*"Hey Scarlett. I'm not mad anymore, I really miss you too and I realized you saved me from a disastrous relationship. No offense or anything! I just mean your right, we should just be friends. What we were doing before wasn't right, for either of us. I finally found myself a girlfriend, and I'd really like you to meet her. There's a party going on over my brothers place later tonight if you wanna come over? Call or TXT me back as soon as you get this. See ya."*~
I smiled to myself and dialed Marks number while taking out some cold pizza and sticking it in the microwave. Mark picked up on the third ring.
"Hey Scarlett, didn't think I was going to hear back from you."
"Yeah, sorry, I fell asleep on the couch."
"So whats up? Are you in for tonight?"
I wasn't sure if I really wanted to meet Mark's girlfriend, that might be a little awkward, but I was totally in to party.
"Aren't I always?"
Mark laughed into the phone shortly before answering.
"I shouldn't have even bothered asking. So we'll see you over here around 11 o'clock then? Do you remember where my brothers place is?"
"Haha! How could I forget? I've only been over there a couple dozens of times."
"Alright, we'll see you soon."
"Kay, bye Mark."
"Bye Scarlett."
