Scott was blushing and he knew it, Mitch was being ridiculously cute and it wasn't fair. Why was he doing this? Was he trying to make Scott push him against the wall and kiss him? Because that was what was about to happen if he didn't cut it out. Like soon.
They were arm in arm strolling through the mall when Mitch stopped abruptly, scaring Scott in the process, "What's wrong Mitch?" he looked his friend up and down checking for injuries or something.
"Wrong? Nothing is wrong my dear! Look at that sweater, I want it. Let's go!" Mitch dragged Scott into the store by his hand and Scott looked at the sweater Mitch was excited about. He could already picture it on him and it would be stunning... everything looked stunning on Mitch. That was another reason why Scott had fallen so hard.
As Mitch grabbed the sweater in his size and walked into the dressing room, Scott decided to take a stroll around the store. He stopped at a display of hats and began trying on different ones. He had narrowed it down to a white one with a floral pattern and a leopard print one with a black bill. As he was trying to narrow it down Mitch called his name causing him to turn around.
"Wow." Scott was speechless, and that meant something. Mitch always looked amazing but the way the orange sweater looked on his slim figure made Scott's heart race. It was the little things like this that reminded Scott that Mitch was truly a Greek God and he had no place in his romantic life whatsoever.
"What? Does it look that bad?" Mitch as worriedly and Scott just shook his head, everyone knew how hot Mitch was... except for Mitch.
"You look stunning in that Mitchie, absolutely stunning." Scott could've sworn he saw a blush creep across his friend's cheeks but he just brushed it off. Why would Mitch be blushing? "You're getting that right? You have to!" He knew he was biased but even with that there was no denying that the sweater was made for Mitch.
"Not today... I didn't realize how expensive it was. I'll probably just come back after Christmas and get it." Scott was about to disagree and offer to buy it when an even better plan popped into his head so he just nodded and smiled. "I'll take it off and be right out."
"I'm going to go buy these hats so just meet me at the register when you're done and if I'm not there I'm waiting for you outside the store. Mitch smiled and nodded before walking back into the dressing room.
As Scott finished paying for his items he spotted a familiar face and got excited, as soon as he grabbed his bag he ran out of the store and right up behind his friend. He deepened his voice and said "Well hello there gorgeous."
Kirstie spun around, obviously ready to tell him off until she realized who it was. "Hi Scotty! How are you?" she smiled at him and he couldn't help but grin back "How is Mitchie?" he was glad to see that she wasn't completely miserable about the whole Mitch-Is-Gay thing and that she didn't hate him.
"I'm doing great and he's alright. He's actually here with me now." Scott could've sworn he saw Kirstie's face fell but her smile grew and he just shook it off. He knew that everything that was going on affected her too and he wished that he could make it better but he knew that only time would be able to fix things with them.
Scott sensed Mitch's presence rather than saw him, but he saw Kirstie tense up. "Well you two have fun, I'm just gonna go. I'll talk to you later." Scott felt awful, he had spent so much time making sure Mitch was okay and happy that he hadn't even thought to check on Kirstie. He was an awful friend.
