If I Stay (Fanfic)

Chapter 3

Reid grins. "And what do you plan on doing?"

"Uhh... I guess we'll find out,"I say nervously.

He nods and heads through the open door. "Good enough reason for me!" he jokes and I giggle. He heads up the stairs like he's been here a million times before.

"Umm... Reid, my room is on the right-" I say, following him.

"I knew that." He blurts out.

I smile as he opens the door.

"Wow," Reid says, sitting on my low rise bed. All my walls are light blue and have posters of famous cello players on them. My cello is on it's stand, across from the bed. Across the wall that the white door is on, a computer desk is standing on the white carpet, next to my wooden dresser and closet. Above my bed, there is a window, revealing the beautiful moon and stars.

I can see that Reid is taking this all in at once. I sit next to him.

My heart is beating out of my chest now, as he turns to look at me.

"Listen Jane, umm..." Reid trails off, then comes back, "Do you feel a 'special connection' between us?"

I stare at him in disbelief. "Yes! As soon as I saw your profile picture," I pause, "I knew you were-" I stop immediately. Why did I say that?! Ughh! What If he doesn't feel the same way about me? What will I do then?

"You knew that I was what?" He says softly.

Don't say it. Don't say it.

"The one." I mumble. Oh my gosh he hates me now!

Just then, he leans in an caresses my cheek softly. I lean into him just as fast as he leaned into me.

Reid puts his hand on my thigh, lifting me up so I wrap my legs around his waist and my arms enveloping around his neck, kissing him. He puts his other hand on my waist. My heart is beating louder than ever. I take my lips off his to catch my breath. He grins. Then I kiss him again.

He laughs under his breath. Then, Reid moves his lips to kiss my neck. This is causing me to want more. So, I guide his head back to mine and kiss him, pushing my tongue through our interlocking lips and pull back, teasing him.

After a while in heaven, I grab Reid's shoulders and push him away, softly.

"What's wrong, Jane?" He whispers, still holding me against the wall.

I look at him and say, " I just, don't want to go, umm..." I trail off.

"Too far," He finishes my sentence.

"Well, yeah, but not because of you, it's just... I've never done that with someone, more or less kiss them, and I don't think I'm ready-"

"No, I get it, I don't wan't to either. At least not yet. We just met a few hours ago!" he replies understandingly, and after chuckling, he puts me down and goes back to sitting on my bed. "But seriously though, that was your first kiss?"

I nod and we both laugh.

"Well, would I be your first boyfriend if I asked you out on a date?" I feel the butterflies in my stomach come alive. 'Is he asking me out!?' I think to myself.

I try to keep my excitement to a minimum.

"Yeah, you would be my first." I reply as steadily as I can.

"Well," Reid says, smiling. His smile is so irresistible. Just like his gorgeous baby blue eyes. One look and you're a goner! "would you want to go on a date sometime?" he continues, causing me to lose my train of thought.

I cannot believe that I had my first kiss, first time making out, and got asked out on a date all in less than five hours.

"I would love to, Reid." I reply. Now is time to let out all of my excitement so I sit on my bed, wrap my arms around his neck to pull him closer so I can give him one last kiss before he leaves.
