I am so exhausted. I can't drink coffee, I can't go to sleep and I can't even clear my mind!
Everything is buzzing around in my head like angry bees. I just want to wake up!
"Wake up," I mutter. "Wake up!" I stand up and squeeze my hands into fists as hard as I could, almost drawing blood from my palms.
"Why can't I just wake up?!" I sigh, but I am still frustrated.
I walk over to the entrance for the ICU and open the door.
I run. I run as fast and far as I can.
I didn't notice until now, but there is a clear bridge overpass connecting the hospital to another building.
Wait! Is that Reid's mustang?
A shiny red convertible came speeding into the empty parking lot.
"Oh my gosh," I turn around and head toward where he will be entering at.
I can't wait to hold him again, after all this is over. All of this is just a dream I can't wake up from.
Or at least, I hope so...
Reid busts through the clear doors and yells, "Where is she? Jane?"
"Down the hall to the left. She is in the ICU and visitors are not permitted right now." A man working the desk replies.
"And why not?" Reid steps closer to the man, who seams furious.
"Reid stop!" I yell, even though he can't hear me. "Please!"
"The patient is unconscious, sir, and is having some rest now." The man tries his best to stay calm, "and I suggest that you take a few steps back and sit down, sir."
Reid slams his fists on the desk, making a loud noise that makes everyone jump.
"Sir, one more time, sit or I will call security."
Reid considers both options, then mutters, "fine." he turns and sits down and I take the seat next to him.
I am just too tired and frustrated to think right now, so I rest against him.
I can feel his heart racing. "I love you, Jane," he whispers so only he can hear, although it was directed at me.
I really wish he could hear me say,"I love you too."
