Once everyone is in the silver Volkswagen (that my mom won in a bet with a good friend), my dad asked us for any suggestions for music.
While everyone was thinking, I blurred out "How about some Shooting Star?" My parents turned around to look at me. I'm not sure what they were more surprised about; the fact that I suggested an actual band, or how I know about them.
"Umm..." my dad starts,"sure, I guess? I mean, we do listen to them all the time" my mom puts a song of theirs on, although I am not that familiar with the band so I don't know which one.
"Have you ever seen them?" I ask and my parents are confused why I am laughing. "Like in a picture or something?"
"No, why?" My mom answers for the both of them. I am dying of laughter.
"Reid is the lead singer and guitarist!!!" I finally have enough breath to say it out loud.
"Oh really?" My parents look amazed.
"Yeah! Wow, I can't believe you guys didn't know that!" I say. "Now, can we finally leave? We've been sitting here for, like, five minutes!" Teddy laughs.
My dad starts the car and pulls out of the driveway. As my mom turns up the music, everyone starts to sing along- including me.
Teddy is playing the air guitar in his carseat to the fast-paced song. I laugh so hard, I have to hold my stomach and bend over.
But when I look up, all I see are head lights heading right for us. My dad tries to swerve out of the way, but it's too late.
The last thing I see is my mom's gentle hand reaching out toward my brother and I.
Then everything goes black.
A/N: ANOTHER short chapter!! I'm sorry I just thought that this was an appropriate place to stop considering this HUGE cliffhanger (actually it isn't that huge; you can pretty much guess what's going to happen next lol). But thanks for reading:) make sure to vote and comment what you think:D
