"Don't just give up, Hachiko. Life is about getting knocked down, over and over, but still getting up each time. If you keep getting up, you win." --Ai Yazawa

Amour's laptop was weighting heavily in my book bag, against my back. I knew it was wrong to take Amour's laptop instead of giving it to the police but the blue eye cop seems suspicions to me. I had a feeling that Amour had something on her laptop that could get her into some deep trouble because this is Amour were talking about.
I never know Amour had a laptop until the day the cops showed up with a search warrant. I rested my cheetah print book bag down on the table and pulled out her laptop and her charger. I brought her charger along with me just in case the battery was low. I opened up the laptop and powered it on.
Minutes later, Carter walked in taking a seat on the table. I don't know what's up with them and sitting on the table when they had a chair resting right there near the table. I shook my head and plugged in the charger. The lock screen popped up and that's what was needed--the password.
Harlem walked in and took a look at the computer screen. I stepped to the side and let him take the laptop. "Do ya kno' the password?"
I shook my head before responding. "No. I didn't even know she had a laptop."
"Carter can ya get Tony?" Harlem asked.
Carter hopped off the table before opening the door and waking out. A few seconds later he came back in with a not to old looking man, who may be in his thirties.
"You kno' what's up." Harlem said, handing him the laptop.
"Uh...whats is he goin' to do?" I questioned.
Cater smirked. "He's gonna figure out tha' password, since none of us kno' it."
The man, I'm guessing is Tony, cracked his knuckles and sat down on the couch.
"How long is it gonna take?"
Tony looked up at me. "Just a couple of minutes."
I simply nodded. I knew this was going to a hour or so. I grab my book-bag and decided to get started on my project for English language arts class, before Ms. May chews my ass out. Shes always on my case but I know she is just looking out for me.
The way she talked to me about my mom the other day is like she knew my mom very well. I still can't believe she was my moms teacher. It makes me wonder if my mom was a good student who always did her work. I know for a fact that she didn't graduated high school but she still got her GED. I wondered what she was passionate about in school.
She never really talked much about school. She always said to me that school is something that you need to be serious about. And that's what I'm doing. I am serious about school but I want to be serious about my future. I don't want her to be looking down at me and feeling like I wasn't serious.
And that's what I wanted to write about. I wanted to write about life and how cold this world is. Since I didn't have a pen or paper I just grabbed my phone. I decided to just write my thoughts and ideas on the notes app on my phone. I titled it:
Cold World is Reality.
