Draco yawned for the tenth time and rubbed his tired eyes. He buttoned up his cloak and turned to Juliet, who was equally tired.

"So," Draco's voice was laced heavy with sleep, "why did you insist on waking me up this early?"

Juliet reached into her bag and pulled out a book. She held it in her hands before reluctantly giving it to Draco. He raised his eyebrow as he flipped through the book.

"Alright," Draco finally said, "wandless magic. Why are you reading this?"

"I've been teaching myself how to do it," Juliet replied.

"Why?" Draco's jaw dropped, "you're making your life harder for yourself. Everyone is going to think you're the next Voldemort."

"I don't want to be," Juliet rolled her eyes, "After I found out I could do it, I wanted to learn how to control it properly."

Draco nodded slowly and draped his arm around Juliet, "I suppose that could make sense. That still doesn't explain why you woke me up at this ungodly hour."

"Sirius was helping me practice," Juliet explained as she lead them down the steps and into the empty courtyard, "obviously he can't do that now. I was hoping you would help me out."

Draco hummed thoughtfully, "Sure, I can do that."

Juliet sighed gratefully and tapped the book in his hands, "Chapter 3."

Draco flipped the book, "Summoning," he read, "You get to summon with a flick of your finger?" he said in awe.

"That's the idea. Neat, huh?"

Draco skimmed the contents, "So what exactly am I helping you with?"

"Correcting my stance. Tell me to focus or whatever else I'm doing wrong," Juliet said as she walked away from him.

Draco peered around the courtyard and pointed to a small rock by his foot, "Shall we start with this?"

Juliet rolled up her sleeves and straightened her back, "Alright. Now with wandless, it also has to be non verbal, which makes this so much more difficult."

Draco flipped a page, "It says you have to focus on your target and imagine it being pulled towards you. Lift your hand up, palm up, as if someone was giving you something," he called to her.

Juliet followed his instructions and frowned, "This seems a tad bit ridiculous."

"I know," Draco agreed, "but it looks better once you've mastered it. Right now they want you to focus on moving the object and not your hand movement."

"Fine," Juliet stared hard at the rock and focused all her energy on it.

The magic at her fingertips surged with power and she could feel the electricity of it flowing through her body. Concentrating on nothing else, she pictured the rock floating with ease towards her.

In reality, the rock refused to acknowledge her existence and remained put on the ground.

"Don't squint at it," Draco said, "Relax and breathe more. I can see you holding your breath in from here."

Juliet listened to him and let out a whoosh of breath. She relaxed herself and shook her hand a few times and lifted it up again. Her eyes wide open, she imagined the rock willingly making its way over to her.

The actual rock twitched slightly and slowly began to levitate. It travelled a few feet, quivered and feebly dropped to the ground.

Draco and Juliet cheered, "Yes!" they said in unison.
