CHAPTER ONE:

"Belle, are you okay?" Cara asked before she took a sip on her orange juice. I looked at the girl beside me, and nod. "Okay." she replied, but I know she's still worrying about me, I could see it in her blue eyes.

But that's the great thing about her; she knows how to drop the subject when you don't want to talk about it. She's always there to listen but she knows her limitations and what made me love her as my best friend.

The three of us are currently having our break here in the school cafeteria. I'm glad that every break timey is when we're eating together and it seems like no one will bully me if I'm with them. They're not popular here in our school but they both join cheerleading. Me? I'm not a cheerleader, sometimes; I'm just part of the squad. But sometimes, I just watch people on out intramurals.

They have other friends too but I don't talk to them. But they're my only friends here since I transferred on the freshman year. We're sophomores now and still, I don't have friends but them.

I've always been the shy one. I mean, like I won't talk to strangers and even the people I don't want to. What's the point on talking to them if they'll just fake you and backstab you? Nowadays, no one is to trust because people always lie.

And that's the reason why I only keep few people in my life. I don't wanna get hurt. Though, people around me still hurt me. I don't even know why they do that. I didn't even do anything to them.

As I took a bite on my chicken sandwich, I saw the guy who I accidentally bumped yesterday on the hallway. He's standing with Michael's gang so I assume he's now part of them. He's wearing black pants and black Nikes that suits his black jacket, just like yesterday but before, he's wearing a black top.

I think he don't have tattoos like other bad boys on public schools. Well, this is a semi-private school and there's still private thing so I think they won't allow people like that here.

Though he's wearing black ear piercings and I assume he uses black eyeliner. His blonde hair is gelled into a quiff. These things made him look hot but I don't think I have a type for these kinds of men. My parents would be mad at me.

As I watch their eyes, they are all looking at those famous girls who are sitting two tables away from ours. I admit, he looks hot but he's got an attitude; an attitude that I don't like on boys. He looks so cocky about himself and I feel like he's the guy who plays with girl's feelings. And besides, he's friends with the people who always spend time bullying me.

Maybe one day, he'll be one of them teasing me around the campus or maybe his attitude is worse than Michael's and the other lads.

"What are you looking at?" Barbara frowned and I flinched. I didn't notice I was looking at the guys whom I hated for a long time.

She looked over her shoulders as she's sitting across me. "You're looking at Niall, aren't you?" she chuckled then she took a bite on her sandwich.

"Niall?" I furrowed my brows. I haven't heard of that name here though. She looked at them again, then to me.
