CHAPTER TWO:

I woke up with the sound of my alarm on my phone. I gently opened my eyes and I blinked a few times to adjust my blurry sight. I sighed and took my phone from under my pillow which is still ringing and turn off the alarm. I place the small device beside me as I stand up from my bed.

I wear my slippers as I stretched my arms in the air and yawn. I always hate waking up so early but I have to.

Good thing it's Friday today and I don't have Saturday classes so I don't need to face people on the weekends. Maybe, I'll just stay here inside my apartment and eat everything from my fridge.

"Sab?" I heard a knock from my door. I didn't remember that I have a visitor coming. "Isabelle, are you still there?"

I grabbed the door knob from my room and twisted it to open, then the front door, I swiftly pulled it and a smiling Harry showed up. I furrowed my brows as he didn't even beeped me that he's coming.

"Harry," He made a simple wave and mouthed a ‘hi’. "Why are you here?" I asked.

"You know it's my birthday today right? Aren't you gonna wish me a happy birthday?" Oh, honestly, I forgot. I nodded even though I didn't remember. I just don't want him to think that I'm a horrible friend.

"Yeah," I faked a smile. "Of course, happy birthday,” “But I don't have a gift for you right now Harry."

"It's fine. But you should come tomorrow night on my house. I'll be cooking something and I'll invite some friends. You should bring your friends with you too." he said with one breath.

"I'll think of it." I smile. Honestly, I don't want to come. But at the same time, I don't want to disappoint him.

"No, Sab," he holds my arms and raises his brows. "Promise me you'll come." I stared at his green eyes and he sighed. "It's my birthday celebration, I want you to be there." he looks at me like I have two heads.

"Fine, I'll go." He smiled showing his dimples off and even his perfectly white teeth. Even his eyes look happy and it melted my heart. It s a smile where you got crinkles beside your eyes, and the smile is so big.

He's alone in his life and it would be lonely for him if he won't have a family on his birthday. He's my friend and I treat him as family, so I think I should really come.

And plus, he invited me. It looks so bad when someone invited you but you didn't go. One time that happened to me too. I invited my friends over lunch when we were on the sixth grade. But only few came. And the ones that didn't come are the people who I expected to be there the most.

He opened his arms and enveloped me into a hug, I hugged back and it feels amazing that I made him happy today, even if it's just a friend's act.

As he go and tell me he wouldn't be able to go to school to day for some reasons he didn't tell, I immediately hopped inside the shower and get ready to school. I put jeans on and a white shirt that looks baggy on me. I'm thin, what do you expect?
