CHAPTER SIX:
I came to Harry's house by myself with my old jeans and a dark blue muscle shirt but there's a cardigan. Barbara said she can't come because she doesn’t feel well and then Cara isn't answering her phone and I think she's reviewing for her exams on the next day.
When I got ten feet away from his house, I could hear faint music blasting his house. He doesn’t have too much neighbors as they're like far from each other like twenty feet away, I guess.
I was as confused as when I get closer to his house, the hip-hop music gets louder and louder and there were people outside and they're yelling with each other and like toasting their red plastic cups.
My heart beat ran faster as I gulped.
Harry told me there will only few friends coming to his birthday but I think, few is plenty now? I frowned at the thought and stopped my tracks.
I don't think I can go anymore. Maybe he don't even need me here because he has too many friends now and I'm nothing compared to them.
He invited these famous people in our school and I'm not even one of them. I'm just humiliating myself. Maybe I'll just go home now and sleep. It's nine in the evening as I glance on my black wrist watch.
Just when I turned around someone called my name, that deep and husky voice I've never heard for twenty and four hours.
"Isabelle," I think he paused for a breath, "Where are you going?"
I turn around, "Eh, I think I forgot something but then I just realized I didn't," I lied and plastered a fake smile.
Sometimes all you need is to lie so that you won't hurt someone's feelings.
My eyes darted at his appearance and he's wearing a navy blue polo, printed with white hearts everywhere with its matching skinny jeans. Then his usual curls are fixed with gel, I guess.
He's holding a red plastic cup on his left hand which is obviously an alcohol. But besides it, something was on his hand, there were two rings and I wonder why because I don't think he's this kind of guy who'll wear accessories like this.
And most of all, this isn't the way how he dresses and he's not the type of guy who'll throw a party on their house because they want to.
"Wanna come inside?" he raised his brows and I looked at his eyes and they're like pleading me to say yes.
I sighed and glance at the sweaty bodies grinding at each other like there's no tomorrow.
