Early Note (PLEASE READ): Hey everyone! Before you read any further, please note that the second book of the Anne and Phillip franchise has slowly come to an end. However, there will be a part THREE called Rewritten coming soon! It will be on Anne and Phillip's child's point of view and it's love interest, yes you heard me right, LOVE INTEREST. Tell me any ideas you want for it!

"Twins!" The doctor said in finality, looking at Anne and Phillip's facial expression.

Anne stiffened, sniffling a little as the tears came running down her cheeks. She gave out a loud shriek. Twins? Twins? She looked at Phillip, wanting to say something to him, but no words came out. Instead, she lay her head on his chest, hearing his heartbeat.

The doctor wiped off the gel, pulling her shirt back down as she jumped off the bed to embrace her husband.

"W-we're having twins...?" Phillip said in shock and excitement. "Can you believe it, Anne? Because I can't, that is one in a million, Anne. Do you understand–"

Anne nodded, smiling as he swung her around. W.D smiled, letting out a large gasp of shock, clasping his hands together as he looked at the happy couple. Mrs. Carlyle looked up at the ceiling, apparently thinking hard about something. The doctor escorted them out the door, congratulating them as they headed back into the automobile.

Anne turned and saw W.D walking down the parking lot and starting his engine. Anne beamed up at him, walking over to embrace him. She knew she was going to be in a good place.

"Congratulations Anne," W.D said proudly, smirking broadly at her as he squeezed her tightly. He looked like he was hiding something, because his eyes flickered around the sky, not looking at her. "I'm so very glad you got yourself a set of twins! They will be very lucky having such a great mother like you."

Anne couldn't comprehend how elated she was now feeling. It was like everything was finally coming together. Finally. She squeezed W.D one more time. "I'm glad you get to be an uncle."

W.D chuckled, waving goodbye as he drove off towards the circus, probably to announce the big reveal. Anne settled herself down next to Phillip, it was like her morning sickness and aches were gone, her happiness was overcoming it. Mrs. Carlyle fanned herself as she looked out the window.

"So, mother," Phillip glanced at her coldly. "What are your thoughts on the twins?"

Anne was expecting a small, curt glance of approval. Mrs. Carlyle opened her mouth to speak only to have it tightened shut again.

"I'm very happy, for the both of you." Mrs. Carlyle began, fiddling with her fingers. She seemed nervous. "I'm just a little nervous and shaken is all. Twins are very rare, you know."

Phillip gave her a look, pulling over by the manor. Anne chose to respect her and trust her. She gave Phillip a hard look before fumbling in her purse, anything that will make her look busy with something.

Phillip took Anne out of the automobile, next to helping Mrs. Carlyle. Anne jogged over to the front door, unlocking it only to see a bunch of pink and blue streamers and a large half light pink half baby blue cake. The oddities swarmed around her, looking at her belly that hasn't developed at all yet. Anne was shocked, her mouth dropped open as they all shouted 'CONGRATULATIONS!'. Anne cupped her mouth, tears of joy running through her. Mrs. Carlyle smiled at them, even though she still hesitated to shake their hands or greet them. Phillip seemed pleased and happy that they came to celebrate, though curious as to how they managed to bring themselves in.

"Anne!" Lettie began, kissing both her cheeks and holding her shoulders. "I'm so happy for you! Twins...who knows? Maybe they'll be just like you!"

Anne smiled, wrapping her in a welcoming embrace. "Thank you, Lettie, I really appreciate it. By the way," She whispered in her ear. "We were thinking of making you the godmother."

Lettie's jaw dropped, causing her long beard to flow down to her chest. Anne squeezed her left shoulder, walking over to greet the rest of the oddities. She felt so accepted to have such supportive friends.

Anne looked through the small crowd and saw Phillip seating himself on the couch next to Tom. Anne sat down next to them, her arm around Phillip as she leaned on him, not because she was tired and felt like throwing up, but because she wanted to. Because she loved him. This was only the beginning.

Anne gestured Phillip toward the garden, where most of the people were rejoicing. Anne stood up taller to plant a soft kiss on his lips. "I love you."

Phillip smiled with satisfaction. "Say it again."

"Phillip Carlyle, soon to be a father of twins," Anne said, near his face. "I love you."

"I love you, too." Phillip replied softly.

Phillip took her waist and swayed her as the cool winter air brushed against them. As Anne lay her head on his chest, she noticed what seemed like a hooded figure, staring right at them. Anne squinted, looking closely, but the figure was gone. She focused herself on Phillip and their future set of twins.

     This was only the beginning.

     Epilogue

Anne stayed close to Phillip that night, pondering over the thought of that man standing in the shadows. She couldn't get a good look at his face. She looked at Phillip tenderly, seeing him fast asleep. She would do anything to keep this family safe. No matter what. They'll live and prosper as a family. These twins will love each other and stay close to each other no matter what. And she's determined to keep it that way.

And she's determined to keep it that way
