It was out there. It was finally out there. It had been two weeks since Christmas. The newspapers were exploding with rage and shock that Phillip threw the newspapers away without bothering to look at them. How could something like this affect so many people? Weren't there any other couples just like them? He shook his head in irritation as he aided his pregnant wife.

"What is it that you need?" Phillip asked softly, refilling the cup of water and closing the curtains shut until their bedroom was almost pitch-black. "More tea?"

Anne looked terrible, she kept shifting around in her sleep, unable to get comfortable. And she was granted terrible motion sickness. Her face turned green, and Phillip knew exactly what she wanted, he picked her up, one arm under her legs and the other on her back as he ran to the bathroom. He pulled Anne's frizzy bed hair back as she vomited in the toilet. Phillip couldn't help but feel bad, he patted her on the back as she rinsed her mouth, groaning in pain as she lay back down.

"It'll be alright, darling," Phillip lushed, kissing her on the forehead. "Rest. I'll be in the living room if you need me. Do not go downstairs unless I grant you permission."

Anne nodded curtly, shifting over so she was facing his direction. She was so lucky to have such a supportive and protective husband. "I love you."

"I love you more," He said, taking her hand and kissing it gently as he stood up to open the door. He gave her one last smile before shutting the door.

Phillip was busying himself by reading and cleaning the house when the doorbell rang. He rushed over to open it with a smile until it immediately faltered. It was Damian, he has a smile on his face and a box of chocolates. Damian usually had a malice expression on his face, Phillip was shocked, but he wasn't convinced. He leaned in the doorway with a look of irritation on his face.

"What do you want?" Phillip asked quickly, making sure he doesn't go inside.

"I'd like to formally apologize for the trouble I've disrupted," Damian stuttered, pushing the box of chocolates into Phillip's strong arms. "These are homemade. A pregnant woman tends to crave sweets."

Phillip tilted his head, scowling at him. "Why the change of heart all of a sudden?"

"Since you two are having a baby," Damian began, he played with his fingers, Phillip wondered why. "I don't want you two to think too harshly of me, at least not now. I admit, maybe I did have feelings for her. But–he added quickly–, I've moved on."

Phillip's face turned stony. "I don't like you liking my wife."

Damian gulped as Phillip leaned in, his eyes squinting. "I don't like you not liking me because I liked your wife."

Phillip couldn't help but chuckle at his answer, Damian tagged along nervously, playing with his fingers again. Phillip's smile faltered again and he slammed the door in his face. He looked at the chocolates, maybe Anne will enjoy this.

"Is that chocolate?" Anne asked weakly, making her way downstairs as she clutched her back painfully.

"Anne!" Phillip said with caution, assisting her downstairs. "What did I say to you?"

"Phillip, I'm pregnant, not old," Anne rolled her eyes, laying on the couch. "My foot kept falling asleep, I need to move around or I'll gain a couple pounds."

"You're as skinny as a stick, you'll be fine," Phillip insisted, laying her head on his lap. "If you need to walk, at least do it upstairs."

"I love how you like taking care of me," Anne began, taking the chocolates from Phillip's hands. "But I can also take care of myself, now–she propped a piece of chocolate in her mouth–if you'll excuse me, I'll just be eating this entire box."

Anne sat upright, stuffing the bits of chocolate in her mouth until her cheeks were full. Phillip swung his head up and laughed, slapping his thigh. "You're so cute."

Anne stuck her tongue out at him playfully, covering her mouth with embarrassment. "Stop teasing me!"

"I apologize," Phillip said, taking her by the waist and nuzzling her nose. "I just love you so much."
