Chapter 2

Erika's Pov
I wake up for school I got a little extra sleep because my mom let me sleep in and she took Morgan to school. I knew I was going to be late but I didn't care I was ahead in all of the classes I got up and got ready for school. I had my mom call in the tell the principal that I was running a "fever". I got to school and went straight to the office.

Ol= office lady

E: hi um I'm Erika Costell (I laugh at myself) and my mom called in because I was running a fever.

Ol: okay Ms. Costell i just need you to sign this

I signed the paper and she gave me a hall pass. Once I got into class I gave the teacher the pass.

Teacher: you're late Ms. Costell

E: yeah I was running a fever but my mom called in and talked to the principal and every thing is in order.

Teacher: okay go sit I your seat and work on your project

E: I finished that

Teacher: then go read or something

E: yes ma'am

I was walking to my seat and noticed this boy staring at me then he whispered to his friends and now they are all looking. I'm not gonna lie the guy who looked first was hot. He had beautiful hazel eyes with blonde curly hair and that jaw line was everything. And he was sitting by Chance Sutton oh my freaking god, no Erika no Chance no boys, when I told myself that Chance left my mind but this mystery boy did not. I just sat down in my seat reading well at least trying this mystery boy was the only thing I could think about.

Jake's Pov
I was in class talking to the squad because we had already finished our project until this girl burst through the door she was talking to the teacher I couldn't see her face but then she went and tightened her ponytail and it was her it was my mystery girl.

J: you guys that's her holy shit that's her.

A: okay Jake calm down it's just a girl

M: not to him Jake been waiting to see her face for days and this is his chance.

C: dude she's turning around

When she turned around I saw her face she was the most beautiful human being I've ever seen in my life her long brown wavy hair her big green eyes and when she caught me looking I didn't even attempt to look away but she did and smiled. Her smile made me smile. I looked at my friends and they were smirking.

J: you guys she's freaking gorgeous

A: you like her don't you

J: no

C: dude you stared at her the whole time she walked to her seat.

M: and you called her gorgeous

J: so what if I called her gorgeous you're gorgeous but that doesn't mean I like you.

M: thanks Jake but you for sure like her.

J: no I don't I don't even know her name. How come I've never noticed her before

C: I don't know man she seems shy she's sitting in the corner of the room alone.

J: what if she doesn't have friends

A: we could be her friends

M: well one of us has to approach her

C: you do it you're a girl

M: no you know I'm not good with people

J: you're good with us

M: yeah but I've known you guys basically my whole life.
