(Y/n's PoV)

It's been about 11 hours since the end of the test - since the time he promised to tell me something important. I'm starting to worry.

The house was big and I mean really big, two stories high - excluding the lab. Although, I have not visited half of the forst floor yet so...I bet it's bigger than I know now. The stairs beside the living room - which I didn't seem to notice at first - led to the second floor, where all the rooms were. The order of the rooms were Suri, Hadley, the Twins, Quenly and Paxton (quenly and paxton are in the same room) and Corri on the right and Kurt, Me, Aloise - where Maldwell also slept - and Maldwell's old office on the left. Despite the disproportion, Maldwell's other office stood at the end of the hallway.

I've been given a vacant room beside Aloise's - which was also Maldwell's. It was spacious enough. Maldwell provided it with a very - and I mean very - comfy bed with a pair of bedside tables and lamps. There was even a wardrobe full of clothes that fit me perfectly. There was a mirror cemented in the wall and some empty shelves, looking like mini stairs against the wall.

The walls were plastered with white and the floor tiled with marble. They are fond of fancy designs, huh? At the corner of my room just beside the window still stood a tall plant, about my size.

That window was the only one in the room, with a clear glass pane, a hatch on the bottom and dressed with a blue curtain.

I sigh as I began to walk around my room. I can't stop thinking about Hawkens...where is he? He promised to tell me something.

A knock comes upon my door and it causes me to snap out of my thoughts. "Come in." I say.

The door opens and reveals North and Face, or should I say Quenly and Paxton. "I hope you're liking the place." Quenly says as she enters my room being followed by Paxton. "I am." I inform as I look at them.

"Are you...comfortable?" Paxton asks, still very timid, and Quenly puts an arm around the smaller male, Paxton turns a slight red.

"Yes, I am, thank you for your concern." I nod slightly, holding my hands together behind my back. They hesitate as they give me blank expressions.

"Are you still worried?" Paxton asks, tilting his head slightly to his right. "About?" I try to play my innocent card as I arch my eyebrow. "About Kurt." Paxton continues and I bit my lip, pausing for a moment.

"...A bit."

"He always runs off every now and then, don't worry that much. He's come back alive every time." Quenly gives a soft chuckle as she rubs the back of her neck.

"That man's tough. He's probably just shy." Paxton reassures and I shake my head. "He promised to tell me something...and he seemed comfortable around me." I inform and the two exchanged a look.

"And did he ever tell you what it was about??"

I shake my head. "He never told me anything about it."

"He must be planning to tell her about how he's gay." Quenly whispers, playfully loud, to Paxton and he laughs. "W-What?!" Being the gullible me, I believed it.

"We're just messing with you!" Quenly and Paxton hold their stomachs from laughing hysterically. I roll my eyes at the two jokers and I sigh playfully. "Not funny, you guys."

"We get that a lot." Paxton smiles.

"Paxton! Quenly! Where are my knives?!" I hear Suri shout as the two flinch and turned around. Behind both of them hung daggers on the rims of their belts. "Crap." Quenly mutters.
