(Y/n's PoV)

It was all too much to process.

A few minutes ago, I was in a room with this...thing. This terrifying thing alongside with a terrifying woman. I only hope Kurt's okay...I wouldn't be able to bear his sudden death.

Corri and Hadley were kind enough to keep me away from danger as we were separated from Maldwell, Suri and Paxton. More people I have to worry about. "Where are we going?" I asked the two, realizing I was aimlessly following them. I know that they were trustworthy but something in my mind clicked, like I suddenly started to distrust the people who saved me.

Corri kept an eye behind us as he held the double-ended sword he disliked using, I never understood why. "We're going to a checkpoint where we can meet with the others." Hadley answered, glancing at me every now and then to make sure I could keep up.

Suddenly, I felt a cold breeze. It wasn't supposed to be anything uncanny but then the metallic smell of blood came in with it. "Guys? I think something's in the forest with us." It wasn't new. We were basically living with the Creepypastas but the fear of having them ambush us...I don't know if we'd make it out alive.

Hadley took out a small flare gun from the bag tied around his left thigh and looked at Corri, telling him something.

The only words I heard was, "Kill her."

My heart jumped to my throat as I began to doubt them. Maybe they were referring to a creepypasta. Maybe they were worried about me being killed. Maybe...they wanted to kill me.

I was terrified but I didn't stop following them.

"Stay with Corri." Hadley ordered as he strayed away from the path and, now, I was left with Corri, the man who was assumingly going to kill me. The man who had a bright smile on his face and became somewhat like a brother to me. Both of them were like brothers to me.

"(Y/n), can you still run?" Corri asked me with that sweet and kind tone in his voice. I started to hate it. I shook my head at the man as I didn't want to stray any further from the manor or give him the opportunity to catch me when I'm vulnerable. Corri hummed as he led me behind a couple of bushes. "We can stay here for a while but we need to keep running." Corri said, putting his sword on the groun as he peeked out of the bushes.

I stare at the sword as I tried to catch my breath. I should keep it away from him, just in case. I tried to tell myself to grab the sword as calmly as possible but my body just reached out for the sword and backed away with haste from Corri, pointing his own weapon at him.

"(Y/n), what are you doing?" Corri snaps his head to me and tries to approach me slowly. "Stay back! I know what you're planning!" I tell him. He can't fool me any longer. I scramble to my feet, my hands shaking as I held the sword. "Whatever you heard, it isn't true."

"That's a whole lot of bull! You plan on killing me!" I shouted, pushing the blade closer to his chest. "(Y/n)-"

"I don't want to hear any more lies from you! I don't want to die yet!" I cut him off, placing the blade against the skin of his chest. Then I hear a strangely familiar voice behind me, "Do it." It was a woman and her hands fell on top of mine as she started to push the blade in Corri's chest. "(Y/n), stop it!" Corri demanded but he didn't move. It was like he was paralyzed.

"We didn't say we wanted to kill you-" Before Corri could continue, the woman pushed my hand forward, making the blade pierce Corri's chest. Corri coughed and held the blade, stumbling back. At first, I had no remorse for the man who lied to me but then, "We wanted to kill her." Corri managed to say out and rose his hand to point at the woman behind me.
