I was sixteen when my foster mother, brother and I had moved from Springfield, Illinois. My foster mother decided it was time that we had a fresh start since my father. We moved to Boston, Massachusetts, the house was nice and the neighborhood looked beautiful and I noticed a small gym I could work out at. I just couldn't stand the thought of leaving the place I have forever called home.

"Keisha come on I can't carry all of this buy myself!" yelled Logan from outside.

"I'm coming!" I rolled my eyes and started to walk towards the front door.

"Forget it mom's got the rest." Logan sounded annoyed but so was I, we had just moved across the country to live in some stupid city all because of my foster mother, I told her she could just leave me there and I could stay with one of my close friends, but no I had to come stay here. She just didn't understand the pain of leaving family and a place you grew up in.

"Come on Keisha you and your brother need to finish unpacking your things and get to bed you have a lot to do tomorrow." said Linda.

"Alright do you think you could help me hang up a few of the pictures?"

"Of course I'll be up there in about 10 minutes I just have to finish putting these groceries up okay?"

"Okay you know where to find me." I ran up the stairs and turned right and walked down the long hallway to my bedroom. As I walked in I began to think of what I should do with my books. I loved reading books I guess that's why I was so good in English. I walked over to the window to look outside but come to my surprise it was just another house. I turned on  some music and started to hang pictures of my old friends and of course family up on the wall where I could reach, the song *Despacito* started to play, I began to dance all over the room and didn't hear the footsteps coming down the hallway. I heard the door open and spun around quickly

"Are you jammin out up here?" Linda said with a big smile,

"Yeah do you want to join me?" I said reaching for her hand

"Oh lord no my dancing days are over sweetie." She said, but it was too late I already had her following my lead. We danced around the room for a good 10 minutes just enjoying different songs.

"Alright, I'm out of breath." She said standing next to my bed. "What did you need help with again?"

"Hanging up the pictures, lights, and the letters on my wall." I said with a big smile, and with that she got to work, while she worked I kept playing music and talking to her about lots of things like why I was sort of scared for this new move because I had never been to a place like this before, it was small but not too small. I looked around the room to see that she was getting everything done pretty quickly and then heard a loud ding on my speaker. It was a text from Logan.

Logan: Hey I'm gonna go look around the neighbor hood do you want to come?

Keisha: No thanks I'm good, did you and mom finish the down stairs already?

Logan: Yeah you move things around  a lot faster when you're not dancing around in your room.

Keisha: What ever. Hey if you find any coffee places around you should definitely bring me back one, oh and a cute boy. ;)
